SlashGear Evening Wrap-Up: September 13, 2012

Welcome to Thursday evening folks - just one day left to go before the weekend is here once again. Today we were finally given some actual details about the Wii U, and it's safe to say that anticipation is quite a bit higher now that we know it's release date and pricing. Nintendo started off early with pricing and release information for Japan, and later on in the day, gave us pricing and release date details for the US and European releases. We were also given a list of "launch window" titles for the Wii U, and we have to say - it looks pretty impressive.

Tomorrow's the big day, folks. Apple is set to hold an event tomorrow, and all signs are pointing to the reveal of the iPhone 5. Ahead of the event, however, came plenty of iPhone 5 news and rumors today. We heard today that iPhone 5 pre-orders will open up on September 14, and one analyst is saying that 10 million iPhone 5s will be sold this month alone. We also take a closer look at what we can expect in iOS 6 (which will be launching with the new iPhone) and we recap all of the news and rumors that have surfaced in this very long lead up to the reveal.

Welcome back to Monday, folks. We're in the final stretch before Apple's big event kicks off, and with just a couple of days left before everything goes down, the iPhone 5 is making a splash in a big way. The (hopefully) incoming handset was given the title of "biggest upgrade in consumer electronics history" by one enthusiastic analyst today. T-Mobile is offering an "Unlocked and Unlimited" deal for the iPhone even though it doesn't carry the device itself, and we got word today that Apple suppliers have started shipping new 13.3-inch MacBook Pros with Retina Display and a new line of all-in-one iMacs.

Friday is here once again, marking the beginning of the weekend. We need it too - we were traveling all around the country from press event to press event this week. Today, no such event took place, but that doesn't mean there was a lack of noteworthy news. There were tons of iPhone 5 rumors and news today, starting with the rumor that we might see one or two iPod lines get updated at Apple's upcoming press event. Speaking of that press event, Apple has started to prepare the Yerba Buena Center for its September 12 conference, and today we were told that the pricing structure of one of the iPhone 5's models might be similar to that of the iPhone 4S.

SlashGear Evening Wrap-Up: September 4, 2012

We're getting ready to end a Tuesday that has produced some rather big news, so let's jump right into it, shall we? By far the biggest story of the day had to do with upcoming the Apple event. Apple started sending out invitations for the event today, using a picture that gives away what to expect at the event (spoiler alert: the iPhone 5 is coming). With an iPhone 5 reveal essentially confirmed, analysts are predicting success for the new handset, saying that it could potentially sell 10 million units this quarter.
