There were tons of iPhone 5 rumors and news today, starting with the rumor that we might see one or two iPod lines get updated at Apple's upcoming press event. Speaking of that press event, Apple has started to prepare the Yerba Buena Center for its September 12 conference, and today we were told that the pricing structure of one of the iPhone 5's models might be similar to that of the iPhone 4S.

We're getting ready to end a Tuesday that has produced some rather big news, so let's jump right into it, shall we? By far the biggest story of the day had to do with upcoming the Apple event. Apple started sending out invitations for the event today, using a picture that gives away what to expect at the event (spoiler alert: the iPhone 5 is coming). With an iPhone 5 reveal essentially confirmed, analysts are predicting success for the new handset, saying that it could potentially sell 10 million units this quarter. Not bad, provided the device actually hits those marks.

We caught a glimpse of the amended verdict form from the trial today, and Google made a rather interesting statement on the outcome of the suit. Unsurprisingly, Samsung's stock took a stumble today, while the stock of some other phone manufacturers went up.

Friday is here once again folks, and what a Friday it was. What started out as a relatively slow news day became very exciting later on, as the jury deciding the Apple and Samsung case delivered their verdict after only three days of deliberation. The verdict? Let's just say that Apple's lawyers will be having a celebration tonight. To make matters worse for Samsung, the jury found that it wasn't owed any damages by Apple. Needless to say, we think there will be an appeal.
