Today we found out that new Nexus 4 orders won't ship for another 4-5 weeks, and that's if you're ordering the 16GB model - those who order the 8GB model might be waiting as long as two months. Microsoft boss Steve Ballmer said that Windows Phone sales these days are four times greater than they were in autumn 2011, which is definitely a good sign, while we learned that RIM has lost a big patent case against Nokia in Sweden. This afternoon we heard that Apple's Richard Williamson has been ousted in an iOS Maps switch-up, while Nintendo confirmed the rumored Wii Mini - but it's only coming to Canada and won't have Internet capabilities. Microsoft has sold 40 million Windows 8 licenses since the OS launched last month, and even managed to sell 750,000 Xbox 360s during the week of Black Friday, despite the fact that the console is viewed as aging hardware by many. Today we found out that shipping times for the iPhone 5 have gone down to two weeks, which should be good news for those who have been waiting to get their hands on one. HP announced that Autonomy's "serious accounting improprieties" have left it with a whopping $8.8 billion bill, while afterward insiders were saying that HP never wanted to close on the Autonomy deal in the first place. First and foremost, our review of the HTC DROID DNA went live just a little while ago, so if you've been thinking of picking that phone up, be sure to have a look at our review to see what we think of it! We found out today that Apple and Samsung have been permitted to add new devices to their lawsuit, so expect Samsung to go after the iPhone 5 while Apple tries to collect damages on a number of Samsung devices. Today Microsoft's former Windows head Steven Sinofsky discussed his recent and surprising departure from the company, but didn't go into too many specifics when it came down to why he actually left. The Kindle Fire HD 8.9 started shipping ahead of schedule today, while new reports are suggesting that Apple may delay the new iMac into 2013. NASA was the victim of a major security breach recently, and today it said that it will make sure all of its laptops are equipped with full disk encryption by the end of the year as a result. Today Samsung rejected rumors that it's been charging Apple a 20% premium on processors for iDevices, saying that since the prices are determined and agreed upon at the beginning of the year, it would be pretty difficult to change them. Welcome to Tuesday evening everyone. We had a pretty big day, what with the reveal of the HTC DROID DNA and all. HTC announced that the DROID DNA will be arriving at Verizon on November 21, and we even managed to go hands-on with the device and its wireless charging dock. Of course, today was also the day that the Nexus 4 and the Nexus 10 became available on the Google Play Store. Today we heard that Judge Lucy Koh will examine claims of misconduct on the part of the jury foreman in the Samsung vs. Apple patent trial, and Apple is actually being dragged back to court for a dispute over FaceTime in the iPhone 5 and iPad mini. Speaking of the iPad mini, Apple confirmed today that the LTE iPad minis should be shipping out in the next five days, and the company announced that it will be donating $2.5 million to the Hurricane Sandy recovery effort on behalf of its employees. The world of tech didn't come to a halt just because we needed to go out and vote, so in case you missed it, here's the big news from the day. We learned today that HTC and Verizon will be holding a press event on November 13, and it's there that we're expecting to get our first official introduction to the HTC DROID DNA. Speaking of HTC, the company gave us its earnings for October 2012 today, and they aren't looking all that great.
