Palm Pre $99.99 only for today only

Palm Pre $99.99 only for today only

We've seen the Palm Pre accidentally advertised for $99.99 before, but if you'd like a legitimate $99.99 deal then head over to LetsTalk.  The company is offering the Palm smartphone for $99 after a combination of mail-in and instant discounts, though you'll seemingly need to order before the end of today if you want to be eligible.

The Pre in question is new (rather than refurbished) and requires a two-year agreement with Sprint, but that's no different to what the carrier themselves (or Amazon) expect of you.

Linksys DMA-2200 Media Extender price-crash: $95

Back when it launched, the Linksys DMA-2200 Wireless Media Extender retailed for a cool $350.  Capable of streaming content from your Windows Media Center in one room, to your big-screen HDTV in another, the DMA-2200 faired reasonably in reviews, hindered by its big sticker price.  Now, though, Newegg are listing the DMA-2200 for just $94.99 with free shipping, at which point it becomes a very tempting offer indeed.

VYE S41A touchscreen UMPC with DVD burner gets price slash

Ultraportables with integrated optical drives are rare beasts - the netbook world only has one, for instance - and they usually carry a pretty high price premium.  That was certainly the case when the VYE S41A first arrived, complete with its convertible 7-inch touchscreen, DVD burner and 800MHz Intel A110 processor: you were looking at around $1,500 when it first launched.  Now, Expansys UK have it listed for just £449.99 ($661).

Walmart Offers Super Bowl/HDTV deals

Walmart Offers Super Bowl/HDTV deals

Surprise! More HDTV deals in the week of Super Bowl. If the Sony’s HDTV and Blu-ray bundle deal is too steep for your wallet; Walmart has announced its Super Bowl/HDTV deals with much affordable units, plus a $100 gift certificate to stock up the rest of the party staples.

Walmart deals include a reduce price 32-inch Samsung LCD HDTV at $498 and a 46-inch Sony LCD at $1,298, and both unit come with an additional $100 store gift card. It's said to have discounted at the same level of Black-Friday deals, and not counting the extra $100. I don’t know if you can apply the gift discount on the purchased set, but the extra $100 should be plenty to stock up beers and chips for the big game.

According to the report, the promotion went into effect yesterday; presuming in store only, as there aren’t any online promotes to be founded, and we do not have technical details on the discounted sets.

Affordable Memorex Blu-ray MVBD-2510 is now sub-$100

Affordable Memorex Blu-ray MVBD-2510 is now sub-$100

Retailed at $269, and has previously appeared on Woot for $139.99, the first generation Memorex MVBD-2510 Blu-ray player has now sank below $100. The affordable value-pack has gone cheap, partly because of the newly announced successor MVBD-2520 with profile 2.0 enabled.

The 2nd-gen Memorex will feature additional BD Live to download extra features and online bonus content, but not be here until early summer, and will cost you a penny short of $200.
