Shelby to unveil 1,200HP Mustang at New York Auto Show

Shelby is best known for its radically-modified Mustangs, as well as the classic AC Cobras from the 1960s. The company will be making an appearance at this week's New York Auto Show to unveil its newest creation: the 2013 Shelby Mustang 1000 S/C, which will pack a whopping 1,200 horsepower under the hood. Shelby American has announced changes in available options for the 2013 Shelby GT350. One key change is that Shelby American will be limiting the production of the 2013 GT350 to only 350 units constructed at its Las Vegas facility. We previously talked about the 2013 Shelby GT500 coupe with its gargantuan 650 hp supercharged V-8 engine and 600 foot-pounds of torque. Ford intends to offer that massive power in an open-top version as well for muscle car fans who want the wind in their hair at triple digit speeds.
