T-Mobile has put the Samsung Galaxy S 4G up for sale, charging $199.99 for the HSPA+ compatible smartphone. Generally identical to the T-Mobile Vibrant that helped Samsung's Galaxy S family clinch the top-selling US Android smartphone spot last year, the new version throws in a front-facing camera as well. T-Mo has just announced one of the crazier deals in their long, storied history of crazy deals. As a Valentines Day celebration, the carrier will offer all of their smartphones for free. T-Mobile USA CEO Philipp Humm has confirmed that an HSPA+ version of the Samsung Vibrant is "coming soon" to the network, as the T-Mobile Galaxy S 4G. Joining the T-Mobile Sidekick 4G, PCMag reports, the Galaxy S 4G is expected to have the same specifications as the existing Vibrant, but update the modem to support T-Mobile's HSPA+ network. Details of Samsung's new Vibrant 4G have emerged, tipping the HSPA+ smartphone as the first device capable of 21+ Mbps speeds on T-Mobile USA's network. An update on the Samsung Vibrant - and itself previously rumored as the Vibrant Plus - according to leaks passed to TmoNews the new Vibrant 4G has the same 4-inch Super AMOLED display but upgrades the OS to Android 2.2 Froyo. Unlocking a cellphone can be a headache, so we're pleased to see Samsung has done its users a service with the Galaxy S - and the US versions, the AT&T Captivate and T-Mobile Vibrant, based on the phone - by including the unlock codes in a file on the smartphone itself.  Unfortunately they've not made them easy to access, and so the team over at xda-developers has stepped in with a simple tool that takes a locked Galaxy S family handset and spits out an unlocked version. It's not just the DROID X bringing some big-screen Android action to store shelves today.  T-Mobile USA has pushed the Samsung Vibrant - their version of the Samsung Galaxy S - out the door, with the 4-inch Super AMOLED smartphone priced at $199.99 after various online and mail-in rebates and presuming a new, two-year agreement. T-Mobile HSPA+ HTC Vanguard due September? Carrier 2010 roadmap leaks

T-Mobile USA are ramping up for an interesting second half of 2010, with official confirmation that an HSPA+ capable HTC-made Android smartphone will debut in September.  Interestingly, a leaked T-Mobile roadmap spotted yesterday tips the HTC Vanguard as due that month, though neither carrier nor manufacturer are spilling any details on the smartphone's specs or name.  What we do know is that it's likely to see roughly 10 Mbit/s download speeds, and will be followed by another HSPA+ capable handset in Q4 2010. Tonight is the night for Samsung announcements, apparently. The Samsung Epic 4G was just announced for Sprint, and now here we are officially unveiling the Samsung Vibrant for T-Mobile USA. It's missing the physical keyboard that the Epic 4G has, but other than that, we're basically looking at the same thing.
