It’s been a week of mobile device reviews, along with the Bluetooth accessories that go with them, here at SlashGear, with Samsung’s Tocco Ultra S8300 and Instinct S30 showing up for playtime.  We also gave our opinion on the big news in Bluetooth headsets, in the shape of the Plantronics Voyager Pro and the Aliph Jawbone PRIME.  Finally, HTC’s Touch Diamond2 flaunted itself in a video unboxing, while the Mophie Juice Pack Air for the iPhone 3G got its review.

Samsung Instinct S30 Review

As mentioned before, the Samsung Instinct S30 is the followup to Sprint’s most popular phone from last year. Originally, the Instinct was positioned as an iPhone killer. While that never actually happened, the Instinct was a great phone in its own right; easy to use, reliable, and offering a good user experience. I mean, I use one. Sprint and Samsung released the S30 to follow up on the goodness that the first Instinct brought them. While there are only a few differences between the previous generation and the S30, the new model fills a crucial role for Sprint, especially with the imminent release of the Palm Pre.

Officially announced at CTIA in March, the Samsung Instinct S30 was released for the public yesterday. We were sent a phone to test out, and we thought you’d like to see the unboxing and first impressions of it. You know you love seeing shiny new gadgets unwrapped.

Samsung announced the followup to the incredibly successful Instinct: The Instinct S30. There are a few changes, most notably the shape and form. The S30 is rounded on the corners, and is slightly wider, yet slimmer. It’s lightweight, has a textured grip, and feels good in the hands.

After their Korean cousins flaunted it yesterday, Samsung USA and Sprint have officially announced the Instinct S30, follow-up to the best-selling Instinct touchscreen phone.  The Samsung Instinct S30 has a 3.2-inch touchscreen, 2-megapixel camera, GPS and Bluetooth 2.0, as well as the Opera Mini 4.2 browser, speech-control (which Sprint are calling Speech to Action) and a new on-screen QWERTY keyboard.

Samsung Korea have prematurely confirmed the existence of the Sprint Instinct S30, the follow-up to the original Sprint Instinct, and given us an official photo of the cellphone too.  Official details of the Instinct S30 – which for a while was known as the Instinct Mini – are still scant, but Samsung have confirmed a 3.2-inch touchscreen.
