USA Judge finds Samsung infringing on Apple iPad patent

Samsung has been having one whole heck of a lot of trouble with Apple accusing them of infringing on patents around the world, this newest accusation holding sway in none other than our home turf, the USA. Samsung could handle a ban in Austrailia for Galaxy Tabs, certainly no tabs in Germany isn't a hassle when it comes down to it, but America? This could be some big trouble. U.S. District Judge Lucy Koh this week has said that Samsung's Galaxy Tab tablets DO infringe on Apple's iPad patents, but made sure to note that Apple will have a problem proving the validity of the patents in question.

Samsung Galaxy Note headed to USA on AT&T says FCC

It appears that our good friends in outer space have granted the USA a favor and are bringing the Samsung Galaxy Note to the states after all. Today the FCC is showing an AT&T-bands-toting Samsung Galaxy Note, HSPA+ that is, this allowing us to dream that the Galaxy Note will indeed be reaching the states in a lovely blue fashion - at least at first. The Galaxy Note is what Samsung is calling their new in-between product, bridging another gap between products, that being between smartphones and tablets, in this case. Samsung has outed a pair of new Android-powered smartphones, the Galaxy 3 I5800 and the Galaxy 5 I5500.  The Galaxy 5 has a compact 2.8-inch QVGA display, making for one of the smallest Android devices around, with dualband 3G (900/2100), a 2-megapixel fixed-focus camera with LED flash, WiFi b/g and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR.  Meanwhile the Galaxy 3 has a 3.2-inch WQVGA display, 3G, a 3-megapixel autofocus camera, WiFi b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0.

Samsung Galaxy Spica I5700 announced (again)

Samsung have obviously been using the Royal Mail to shuttle their corporate updates around the globe, as three weeks after Samsung Russia officially announced the Galaxy Spica I5700 the company's Korean HQ have pushed out their own press release.  As before, they've confirmed that the Android-based Spica has an 800MHz processor, 3.2-megapixel camera and 3.5mm headphone jack, all in a casing measuring 13.2mm thick.
