Samsung hunts for memory help as Apple tipped to jump ship
It would appear that as Apple begins a move away from reliance on Samsung to create the most massive amount of its mobile products' flash memory, the Korean company is seeking outside help to create enough product for its own Galaxy lineup. Two reports have surfaced today that suggest both Apple and Samsung to be seeking new means and ways of accessing enough product for the innards of their smartphone and tablet lineups. While Apple has bee reported to be teaming up with Taiwan Semiconductor on one hand, Samsung has been tipped to be purchasing memory from Elpida Memory and Toshiba.

Over on the Japanese blog RBMen, a benchmark has surfaced that may be the Verizon Galaxy S IV smartphone from Samsung. Samsung GALAXY Altius Smartwatch leaked
Today a collection of screenshots have been revealed of what appears very much to be a Samsung “smartwatch” with the name GALAXY ALtius attached to it. The images shown here come from a Korean messageboard where the main topic of conversation is how well the watch will fit in with the rest of the market rather than if the mysterious device exists. Given the recent fervor created by the idea of an Apple iWatch, could the Samsung smartwatch, indeed, be far behind?

Yesterday we reported that the Samsung Galaxy IV, successor to the wildly popular Galaxy S III, is rumored for a March 15 unveiling, a few days earlier than the previously rumored March 22 date. Samsung Galaxy Discover revealed with vanilla Android
This week the folks at Samsung have revealed that they'll be delivering their newest Galaxy smartphone in the USA with a vanilla (read: untouched) Android experience straight from Google. The device you're seeing here is the Samsung Galaxy Discover and, though it's not 100% stock Android as a real Google Nexus smartphone would be, it's pretty darn close. This device works with a single-core 800Mhz Qualcomm processor, a 3.5-inch HVGA display, and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

We last heard a March 22 announcement rumor, but now we're hearing that the new phone will be unveiled on March 15, according to insiders familiar with the Korean-based company.
