Just this past week we got our hands on the Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE, a perfectly excellent tablet from Samsung carried by Verizon and reviewed and full by us. This week we’ve got our hands on the official Full Size Keyboard Dock, as it were, and it’s looking to be the perfect companion for this already pretty nice little device. What we’re going to look at here in this relatively brief review is build quality, speed of connection, and expansion abilities – spoiler: it does pretty good in all these categories.

The size range of Android-based devices Samsung has made over the past year is far and away the largest any manufacturer has yet achieved, and if you’re unable to find the screen size you desire at the moment, you likely have only to wait another week or month and poof! It will appear. That said, it appears that the Galaxy Tab 7.7 has appeared here in the USA in an LTE edition made specifically for Verizon, and having taken a glance at every single other display size in the lineup I can comfortably say the following: this is one of the best.

Verizon has confirmed pricing and availability for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE, which will hit the carrier's 4G network on March 1. Fronted by a 7.7-inch 1280 x 800 Super AMOLED HD touchscreen, the Galaxy Tab 7.7 uses Verizon's LTE network for high-speed mobile connectivity, and can share that pipe with up to ten WiFi clients in hotspot mode. Samsung has officially confirmed the Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade schedule for its current line-up of smartphones and tablets, promising that the Galaxy S II and Galaxy Note will see Android 4.0 in Q1 2012. Eight devices are listed as in line for upgrades, including the Galaxy S II LTE and Galaxy R smartphones and the Galaxy Tab 10.1, Galaxy Tab 8.9, Galaxy Tab 7.7 and the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus. Samsung Italy has reportedly confirmed which of the Korean company’s Android devices will receive an Ice Cream Sandwich update, with models such as the Galaxy S II and the Galaxy Tab 10.1 each supposedly in line for a 4.0 upgrade. The Italian arm of the firm listed the GSII and the Tab 10.1, HDBlog claims, along with the Galaxy Note, Galaxy Tab 8.9, Tab 7.7 and Tab 7.0 Plus as all being eligible for a tasty frozen treat. Apple wins Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 injunction

Apple has secured a new injunction against Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 7.7 in Germany, forcing the company to yank the tablet from IFA 2011 show stands as we saw on Saturday. The courts in Dusseldorf granted Apple’s request for a ban on sales and promotion of the new Android slate, Yonhap News reports; “Samsung respects the court’s decision” spokesperson James Chung told Bloomberg, though went on to criticize the ruling as something that “severely limits consumer choice in Germany.”

Samsung yanks Galaxy Tab 7.7 at IFA in latest legal spat

Samsung has pulled all Galaxy Tab 7.7 tablets from its IFA 2011 stand, as well as removing or covering any mention of the Honeycomb based tablet, in what appears to be further fall-out from the ongoing legal battle between the company and Apple. ”Samsung has removed the Galaxy Tab 7.7 from our stand at IFA,” Samsung Europe spokesperson Brendon Gore told SlashGear. “We cannot make any further comment as we have not received an official statement from the court.”
