There's a brand new Galaxy Tab in town, this one created in Germany with a new form factor that does a bit of sidestepping like the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1N did late last year. Regardless of this, it does have the long awaited (by me) forward-facing speaker upgrade, this being the biggest change between it and its 7.0 non-N edition. Samsung details ICS upgrades: GSII and Note in Q1 2012

Samsung has officially confirmed the Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade schedule for its current line-up of smartphones and tablets, promising that the Galaxy S II and Galaxy Note will see Android 4.0 in Q1 2012. Eight devices are listed as in line for upgrades, including the Galaxy S II LTE and Galaxy R smartphones and the Galaxy Tab 10.1, Galaxy Tab 8.9, Galaxy Tab 7.7 and the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus. Specific timescales for each model – as well as carrier variants – will follow.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus crept onto Amazon last month for pre-orders followed by an official announcement for US availability. The revamped 7-inch Samsung tablet was scheduled to ship starting November 13, but it looks like Amazon's shipping early with the 16GB model listed as in-stock and ready to ship today. Samsung Italy has reportedly confirmed which of the Korean company’s Android devices will receive an Ice Cream Sandwich update, with models such as the Galaxy S II and the Galaxy Tab 10.1 each supposedly in line for a 4.0 upgrade. The Italian arm of the firm listed the GSII and the Tab 10.1, HDBlog claims, along with the Galaxy Note, Galaxy Tab 8.9, Tab 7.7 and Tab 7.0 Plus as all being eligible for a tasty frozen treat. If you didn't believe it before, you sure will now, as Samsung has officially announced their intent to have the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus made available in the USA starting November 13th for $399.99 USD. This tablet is one of a rather large family of tablet-sized devices put out by Samsung in recent months, this one replacing the original Samsung Galaxy Tab as the company's 7-inch tablet hero. The seven-inch display-having Samsung Galaxy Tab with a "Plus" at the end of it is now available for pre-order on Amazon. This recently revealed device has not had its shipping date revealed, but you'll be able to pre-order the device from the big A right this very moment. Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, a 7-inch dual-core Android 3.2 Honeycomb tablet set to go on sale by the end of October. Slightly smaller – though thicker – than the Galaxy Tab 7.7, the new Tab 7.0 Plus has an unspecified 1.2GHz dual-core processor, HSPA+ for up to 21Mbps downloads and 5.76Mbps uploads, and twin cameras: 3-megapixels with autofocus and an LED flash on the back, and 2-megapixels up front.
