Samsung Approves Apple Smart Cover Copy-Cats

As if the escalating legal feud between Apple and Samsung over copy-catting issues on smartphones and tablets isn't enough, Samsung has brazenly certified a third-party accessories manufacturer, Anymode, to make an Apple Smart Cover rip-off called the Smart Case. Everything about the case screams a blatant copy of Apple's Smart Cover and certainly doesn't help Samsung's defense of "we're competing, not copying." Read The Full Story

Verizon 4G LTE Galaxy Tab 10.1 up for pre-order

Earlier this week the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet got a price and a launch date for WiFi and 3G versions in the UK. While the UK is getting ready for its 3G flavor of the tablet, Fans of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 in the US can now order a 4G LTE version of the tablet. Verizon has the tablet up for pre-order right now at a price starting from $529.99. Other than the addition of the 4G modem, the tablet is the same.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 WiFi and 3G flavors dated for UK launch

Samsung UK has confirmed that the Galaxy Tab 10.1 will arrive in the country from August 4 2011, with both WiFi-only and 3G versions promised. The 10.1-inch Android 3.1 Honeycomb slate went on sale in WiFi form in the US earlier this month, though is currently not available with integrated 3G connectivity. Read The Full Story

Samsung denied early iPad 3/iPhone 5 access but Apple sales injunction hopes fade

Disappointment in the courts for both Apple and Samsung this week, as neither company gets its own way in the ongoing legal spat over design copying and patent infringement. Samsung’s demands to see Apple’s unannounced iPad 3 and iPhone 5 – which prompted accusations of harassment from the Cupertino company -have been denied, FOSSpatents reports; however, it also looks unlikely that Apple will secure a preliminary injunction against Samsung products going on sale in the US.

Google Updates Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Limited Edition to Android 3.1 Honeycomb Officially

Though we already technically let you know about the update in this post previously, it's important to note that today Google has made it official by mailing each on of their 3,000 recipients of the special Google I/O Limited Edition version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 an update notice. This notice states that the tablet GT-P7510 will be updated via a simple signing up for a Samsung account by you the user after which you'll have to head to your settings and make it happen manually.
