Apple, E Ink, ITRI and Samsung Top Field in SID 2011 Display Awards

The Society for Information Display (SID) sent out their top Gold awards to the groups they felt deserved recognition in the area of global advancement of electronic display technology. Lots of words there adding up to SID being the authority on telling people which manufacturers are putting out the best displays. SG Comics Presents: Apple vs. Samsung

SG Comics Presents: Apple vs. Samsung

Apple's patent suit claims Samsung copied the "look and feel" of their user interface, including having a grid of colorful square icons with uniformly rounded corners, a bottom row "Springboard" of square icons, and an overall rectangular product shape that has four uniformly rounded corners. But that was seven months ago, and so far, nothing, even though Android 2.3 is already on the market and Android 2.4 is coming soon. But there just may be some hope, though it may be faint. A screen shot from AT&T's support page for the Samsung Captivate shows the device running Android 2.2.
