So the WiMAX version of the Samsung Galaxy S II was outed earlier by a slide on one of Samsung’s product pages, but now the details are confirmed. Unlike the T-Mobile and AT&T versions, this one will tack on “Epic 4G Touch” to the original Samsung Galaxy S II moniker. It will also be the first of the three to become available, launching on September 16.

AT&T has confirmed its version of the Samsung Galaxy S II as the big US debut is underway at a press event in NYC. Instead of rebranding the device as the “Attain” as previously rumored, AT&T will simply keep it as the Samsung Galaxy S II. But unlike the other variants for the WiMAX network and for T-Mobile, AT&T’s version will not get the screen size boost up to 4.5-inches.

Samsung Galaxy S II LTE and Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE Made Official Today
After weeks of hypothesizing, days of great guessing, and minutes of clicking alerts from Samsung, we’ve got it officially: IFA 2011 will be the home of Samsung’s new Galaxy S II LTE as well as their brand new Galaxy Tab 8.9, also with LTE. While we’d guessed that the Galaxy S II might make an appearance at the event, we’d not yet officially heard that the Galaxy Tab 8.9 would be present – now we’re sure and wow! LTE as well!
Samsung Galaxy S II USA Family Confirmed, Verizon May Be Next
It appears very likely, now that we’ve got a cool slightly pixelated photo and everything, that Samsung will be releasing the Samsung Galaxy S II in the USA next week on three of the big four USA carriers with slightly different configurations, software and hardware included. What we’re still not clear on is why news has popped up surrounding Verizon not being on this list. Given another bit of very possibly legit information we got this morning, a Samsung Galaxy S II upgrade is on the way as well, this time with a slightly larger 4.5-inch display and 4G LTE capabilities. What could this possibly mean for Verizon?
Samsung Galaxy S II LTE with 4.5-inch Display Coming to IFA 2011
Remember those videos we showed you a few days ago displaying what Samsung was teasing as their next BIG thing, this next big thing coming out at their IFA 2011 “Samsung Unpacked” and appearing very much to be an upgrade of the Samsung Galaxy S II? Turns out that’s more than likely the truth, as SammyHub say’s they’ve “confirmed” with Samsung that IFA 2011 will play host to a 1.5 GHz dual-core Samsung Galaxy S II with LTE capabilities and a lovely new form factor.
Samsung Galaxy S II Verizon Model Possibly Axed
It appears that the largest network in the United States will not be carrying the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone, a flagship device for the manufacturer and one of the best selling phones in the world at the moment. As the Wall Street Journal reports, having spoken with "people familiar with the plans," each of the other "big four" carriers will be carrying the device inside September, blue, yellow, and pink being the lot of them, but apparently Verizon has declined to move forward with the Samsung dual-core device. Samsung's Kim Titus has confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy S II would indeed be unveiled in the USA next week, but declined to comment any further on the group's plans for carriers.

Samsung Galaxy smartphones banned in Europe by Apple patent complaint
Apple has won another victory against Samsung in their ongoing legal battle. The Dutch courts in The Hague have today issued a preliminary injunction against Samsung’s Galaxy S, Galaxy S II, and Ace smartphones that would ban the sale of the devices across almost all of Europe. The ruling, however, does not include Samsung’s Galaxy tablets.
Samsung Galaxy SII gets new US teaser video
Samsung has just unleashed another teaser video hinting at the imminent US release of the much anticipated Galaxy S II smartphone. The device has been available in various parts of the world since April, and only now approaching a US launch. It is already suspected to make its big US debut during a special Samsung event scheduled for August 29.
