Galaxy Note 5, Gear A, Edge may add up to Samsung’s biggest Unpacked yet

Earlier today Samsung sent out invitations to an event that'll have three devices (at least) released to the masses. Just following Motorola's event today and before Apple's event later this year, the "Galaxy" giant will more than likely be revealing two smartphones and at least one smartwatch. Given the amount of rumors, leaks, and tips we've received over the past few weeks, we can't help but wonder if Samsung's secrets have all been revealed already. And if they have, is that going to be just fine with potential consumers?

Samsung has revealed two new smartwatches, the Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo, refining its original Galaxy Gear wearable and ditching Android for Tizen in the process. Revealed at MWC 2014, the Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo each have a 1.63-inch 320 x 320 Super AMOLED display and run Samsung-led Tizen on a 1GHz dualcore processor. Differentiating the two is that the Neo lacks a camera, a 2-megapixel shooter which the Gear 2 integrates into its main body, not the strap as before.

Samsung Tizen-powered Galaxy Gear range for MWC tipped

Samsung may bring more than one new smartwatch to Mobile World Congress next week as part of its Galaxy Gear wearable refresh, reports suggest, with the wrist-worn companion devices said to run Tizen rather than Android. Star of the company's Unpacked 5 show on February 24th is still expected to be the Galaxy S5 flagship Android smartphone, but industry chatter indicates upstart-OS - and, some within Samsung are hoping, savior of the company from its current position intertwined with Google - Tizen will also play a considerable role.
