Samsung Galaxy Beam Hands-on

Samsung has another Galaxy smartphone for the world, only this time it comes equipped with a 15 lumen pico projector and might even land in the US. We saw this earlier in the week but were able to get some quick hands-on photos of the little projector today. This week Samsung has revealed a brand new take on projecting content, namely slotting this technology in an Android Samsung Galaxy smartphone with the Samsung GALAXY Beam. This is not the first time a smartphone has been integrated with a projector in this way, but judging by this first look we've had at the GALAXY beam, "Sharing Big Fun and Big Ideas" is much more real than ever. This device is the world's slimmest projector phone at 12.5mm with a round back for an extra comfortable grip. Samsung aims to improve both the size of the device (making it as small as ever) and the quality of the projector - now a 15 Lumen brightness with NHD 640 x 480 resolution model running with this device's dual-core 1GHz processor under the hood.
