Samsung Galaxy S III to hit 10m sales during July

The Samsung Galaxy S II and Galaxy Note have both seen impressive sales figures, and the company isn’t being cautious about its sale expectations for its latest flagship, the Galaxy S III. Samsung believe that the phone will surpass the 10 million sales threshold next month once the effects of launching in the United States start to kick in. Reuters is reporting that Nokia is looking at potential buyers for the luxury phone brand yet again, this time with private equity firm EQT. Sources speaking to Reuters say that Nokia is hoping to take away €200 million (~$250 million). Nokia losing cash reserves at worrying pace

Best Buy may have jumped the gun a little in throwing up a release date for the HTC EVO 4G LTE. The company has now sent out emails to customers saying that the phone has been delayed, with no new date given so far. It comes after it was revealed that the HTC One X and EVO 4G LTE face a customs block, preventing the phones from being sold in the United States until they’ve been cleared of patent infringement. Say what you will about the Galaxy S III, but Samsung is going to sell mountains of phones. The Korea Economic Daily is reporting that the Samsung Galaxy S III has already amassed around 9 million pre-orders with over 100 global carriers. That’s made even more impressive by the fact that the phone isn’t even ready to go in the United States yet. Walmart intros “Pay with Cash” for online shoppers

Walmart is launching a new scheme for those unable or unwilling to pay for items using a credit or debit card over the internet. The scheme is called “Pay with Cash”, and would let customers order items on Walmart’s website, then pay for the item at a local store in cash. Joel Anderson, CEO of Walmart, says that only 15% of Walmart transactions are carried out using credit cards, and there’s a large portion of customers dependant on cash. Read The Full Story

Raspberry Pi racks up 100k orders from one store

Massive support has been found out there in the gadget-loving world for the tiny computer known as Raspberry Pi. This little beast has had its 100,000th order counted up at element14 for pre-orders starting back in late February. This number is also just part of the massive 350,000 orders counted up total for the device at stores worldwide.
