Not all that long ago I was a teen driver. I honestly wasn’t that bad behind the wheel, despite the number of accidents I was in. Most of them weren’t my fault, mind you. Still, the thought of my parents being able to monitor my every move in my car just creeps me out to no end.
If you have a portable DVD player made by Toshiba, listen up. There has been a voluntary recall issued for the power adapters for certain models of Toshiba’s portable DVD players.
I’m not a person that thinks everything in my house must look stylish. Granted, I don’t want everything to look like crap, but I’m not going to spend a ton of money on everyday items just because they look nice. Take your fire extinguisher, if you even own one that is. Would you really go out and spend money on one that looks fancy?
I’m horrible about drinking water. I really don’t drink nearly as much as I should, as I’m too busy getting hopped up on Mountain Dew. However, when I do drink water, I like it to be purified, rather than from the tap. No, I don’t go out and buy bottles of water, I just have a purifier hooked up to my tap.
Well Sony shouldn’t feel bad, they’re not the only ones recalling batteries these days. Now mobile phone giant Nokia is reaclling roughly 46 million cell phone batteries.
The batteries affected are model number BL-5C and were manufactured between December 2005 and November of 2006. Quite a few Nokia phones use this battery ranging from the 1100 series up to the N91 and E60.
One thing that I hate doing is smelling food to see if it’s still good. If there’s any doubt I usually just end up throwing it out, probably before it has gone bad. This new gadget promises to remove any doubt you might have about that ham sitting in your fridge.
I have been involved in more than one rear-end collision since I started driving years ago. Once I was the one doing the hitting, in the other I was struck. In the one where I struck the other driver, I didn’t notice that he had hit his brakes hard until it was too late. Something like the Sudden Stop would have probably prevented the accident.
The Sudden Stop is a relatively simple concept. It is basically a set of lights that mounts to your license plate and flashes for around 3 seconds when you brake hard. It determines how fast you are decelerating by calculating the G-Force. This prevents it from flashing when you are just braking as usual.
