Google’s Larry Page hints at upcoming rugged Motorola devices

Google announced their latest quarterly earnings yesterday, and the company had another good three months in the black, earning a revenue of $14 billion, with $3.35 billion of that as cold, hard income. However, Google's recently-acquired Motorola Mobility is struggling, losing $271 million, but Google CEO Larry Page seems to have big plans for the subsidiary, and teased some of the features we may see on upcoming devices. Nokia reported its Q1 2013 financial results this morning, and while they're slowly digging themselves out of a deep hole, they're coming back around, and it seems they're appetite for competition is growing, as it's reported that the Finnish company is working on a phablet-style smartphone to be released later this year in order to take on Samsung's Galaxy Note series. Facebook Home rumored for iPhone, probably won’t happen

When Facebook announced its new Facebook Home launch screen alternative earlier this month, it was quite obvious why Android was the only mobile platform getting the new launcher -- it's openness provides Facebook to easily implement Home on various Android devices. Foxconn rumored to be on hiring spree for iPhone 5S production

Rumors of the iPhone 5S have been pouring in lately, so it's no surprise that we're now hearing reports that Foxconn is beginning to ramp up production on the iPhone 5S and is beginning to hire more workers to take on the increase in production. OS X 10.8.4 beta code hints at 802.11ac WiFi in upcoming Macs

It's inevitable that Apple is going to release new Mac models at some point this year, particularly new MacBooks, since the iMacs just received a recent refresh. On the software end, Apple recently seeded the second beta version of OS X 10.8.4 Mountain Lion to developers, and the code inside of the operating system hint at the possibility of 802.11ac WiFi for new Mac models sometime this year. Windows Phone 8 to support 1080p and quad-core chips by 2014

Windows Phone 8 is a pretty slick operating system, but it only supports up to 720p resolutions, as well as lower-quality WVGA and WXGA resolutions. BlackBerry Q10 reportedly arriving April 30 in Canada

In what sounds like a completely ridiculous prediction, analyst Brian White of Topeka Capital Markets says that an Apple television will launch this year, and it will come with an "iRing" of sorts as the motion controller. AT&T HTC One pre-orders reportedly begin April 4, $250 for 32GB

iPhone 5S event tipped for June 20 while Apple patent suggests ceramics

Take today's latest iPhone news with a grain of salt, folks, but it looks like Apple's next iPhone could be announced on June 20, and be released a couple weeks later sometime in early July. This isn't an odd time frame for Apple, however, as they've made announcements in June in the past.
