Angry Birds Simpsons in Space is next

Angry Birds Simpsons in Space is next

Today an update to Angry Birds Space has been dropped down for several platforms, it including no less than a teaser for a Simpsons expansion in the near future. What this expansion has to do with outer space, we cannot say, but if that's not a Simpsons-themed pink sprinkled donut, I'll eat my hat. This wont be the first time Rovio has chosen to work with a high-class pop-culture act like the Simpsons, and it wont be the last. It will however be the first time the crew has worked with a television show - perhaps this is their ushering in of their own program?

Warn your friends about fake Angry Birds apps

Warn your friends about fake Angry Birds apps

This week the folks at Rovio have gone out of their way to warn new users of their all-powerful game family to seek out the real version of Angry Birds Space, avoiding all shams. As it has been since the beginning of game downloads and as it shall be until the end, fakers and cash-grabbers are creating apps which purport to be the official version, only to contain either a broken version of said game - or worse: hacks. What we've done here is to link to all of the Angry Birds games on the Apple App Store for iOS, Google Play, the Nokia Store, and BlackBerry App World.

Last week we heard that Zynga picked up the makers of Draw Something, the fabulously titled OMGPOP. Now what we've got is a silent war on our hands, not to destroy one another, but to gain sway over the social networking and mobile gaming worlds startup by startup. Zynga currently dominates the social aspect of this equation, while Rovio is tearing through mobile gaming with a hot knife, carrying out a release of its newest game Angry Birds: Space with healthy precision.

Angry Birds goes giant with Seattle Space Needle

The brand new Angry Birds: Space launch has hit a new level of gigantism with an abnormally oversized Red Bird tied on to the Seattle Space Needle. This landmark gains new meaning as the physics-based entertainment game adds its own 300 foot tall slingshot as fans were invited to the top of the beast to play the game on launch day. Angry Birds: Space cupcakes were given out by Food Network's Cupcake Wars finalists, and there was much rejoicing.

Angry Birds Space gets Windows Phone reprieve

Angry Birds developer Rovio Mobile has done a 180, announcing a version of Angry Birds Space for Windows Phone is in the pipeline just hours after the company admitted it had no plans to release on Microsoft's smartphone platform.
