Angry Birds Star Wars details continue to spill

Those of you waiting for the release of Rovio's Angry Birds Star Wars game release will have to wait until November 8th, but for now, you've got details upon details spilling in all directions. What we know thus far is that you'll be working with Angry Birds that are specific to their character - Luke Skywalker, Rebel Pilot will be one without a doubt. What we've also learned since this morning's big re-announcement is that Angry Luke will be carrying a lightsaber - and that Han, Chewie, Leia, and the rest will be bringing their own heat as well.

Rovio has officially announced Angry Birds Star Wars, and it'll be available for download on iOS, Android, Windows, and Mac on November 8 -- exactly one month from now.

We've arrived at another Friday evening, which means that the weekend lies ahead. Today, as many of you probably already know, was the one-year anniversary of the passing of Steve Jobs. Apple paid tribute to Jobs in a new video released today, and it was announced that three modified MacBook Pros will be auctioned off in memory of Jobs. On the lighter side of things, Lenovo is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the ThinkPad with a look back through time, and Samsung's profits for Q3 2013 managed to break company records (not an easy thing to do, considering how popular Samsung is).

Finnish based Holiday Club to build Angry Birds Activity Parks

If you're a fan of Angry Birds video games, a company that owns several resort hotels in Finland is set to construct a series of Angry Birds Activity Parks at three hotels. The first of the three activity Parks based on the Angry Birds video game will be a year-round indoor activity park. The park will be completed in Kuusamon Tropiikki by Christmas of 2012.

Samsung is teasing a new Galaxy Note II event for October 24, while Google turned 14 years old today and celebrated with a brand new doodle. Qualcomm introduced a pair of new processors for mobile devices today, and a series of new iPhone patents deals with things like disappearing buttons, 3D displays, and invisible speakers.

Rovio's latest creation, Bad Piggies, released today, and in just three hours the new game is at the number one spot in the iTunes App Store. The Finland-based game developing company released the Angry Birds spinoff earlier today, and it seems that fans are already eating it up, especially since the game released early in the day on a school and work day.

Bad Piggies, the much-anticipated follow up to Angry Birds from developer Rovio, has been released, available across multiple smartphone and desktop platforms. Themed around helping the Bad Piggies build a flying machine and pilot it to steel the Angry Birds' eggs, the game offers over 60 levels in its initial release, and with the prospect of a further 30 levels if they do well.

Welcome to Friday everyone. The weekend is here is last, and what better way to kick it off than with a giveaway? We've teamed up with NVIDIA to hand out three 16GB Google Nexus 7 tablets, so be sure to enter (but read the rules before you do!). Apple and Samsung's ongoing patent trial gave us a glimpse at sales numbers for both companies today, and we also found out that Apple is looking for a whopping $2.45 billion from Samsung. Even though Google has remained publicly silent about this whole suit, it turns out that it has been providing support for Samsung behind the scenes during the trial.
