As what first looked like a small tease for an update to Angry Birds Star Wars, Rovio seems to be teasing much more than that. Today, the Finnish game developing studio revealed that they will be announcing a "brand new game" on Monday that looks to Star Wars related, but seeing as it's a "brand new game," we could be looking forward to an Angry Birds Star Wars sequel, rather than just an update to the original movie-themed game.

Angry Birds Star Wars Lando update totes thermal detonator

The Star Wars iteration of the Angry Birds collection of apps has been updated this week with the dapper Lando Calrissian in bird form. This character is bringing along with him the ability to blast three bolts as his closest associate Han Solo bird, but instead of them being shot one after the other all in the same direction, they're let loose all at once: two diagonals and a straight-on shot. This update also brings on a collection of power-ups activated in a similar way to the Millenium Falcon attack.

Rovio generates $200 million in revenue for 2012

Rovio has just released its financial results for the year of 2012, and it has done extremely well. In 2012, it generated nearly $200 million in revenue (152.2 million euros), which is almost twice the $97 million it generated back in 2011 (75.6 million euros). All in all, Rovio managed to profit about $71 million (55.5 million euros), which is a huge boost from the $45 million it profited in 2011 (35.4 million euros).
