So, we’ll admit that that title may be a bit misleading. Why? Because it looks like people aren’t having to look that hard at all to find a few random (or perhaps not too random) pieces of Sony’s new hardware floating around in retail stores. If you’ll remember right, Sony said that the Slim wouldn’t be sold until September 1st, but it’s beginning to look like that release date might not have been as set in stone as originally thought. Well, let’s hope that’s the case, or there’s a lot of stores out there breaking that one cardinal rule.

With the release of Windows 7 coming up pretty quickly here, we're just like everyone else in hoping that while the Operating System is getting upgraded, the machines running them don't get left in the dust. Thankfully, that doesn't seem to be the case, at least not with MSI, as they move forward and confirm the introduction of the Mobile Core i7. It's not groundbreaking or anything (is there much that is, anymore?), but at least we get something new to look forward in the architecture point of view.

As if it weren’t enough to “see a pre-order screen“, “the on-screen keyboard“, and “speculated pricing“, here we have evidence of a release date. But unlike the other rumors we’ve covered recently, this time we’re seeing it in a far more physical way.

3762 rWell, it looks like Taiwan will be getting the Touch Diamond2 from HTC by the end of this month. The new handset will be available in Europe and the U.S. in the months to follow, but for now Taiwan is the only market and boy am I jealous!

The Touch Diamond2 features a 3.2-inch touchscreen with a 480 x 800 resolution. Other features include a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and touch-sensitive zoom and an 8GB memory card.

TouchFLO received some updates as well including Push Internet. Data is covered by 3G on a 7.2Mbps HSDPA or Wi-Fi. Following the Taiwanese release this month, the HTC Touch Diamond2 will be released in Europe in the spring and in the U.S. in the summer. Pricing is expected to be NT$21,900, which is the equivalent of $647 USD.

Last November Nintendo starts selling DSi in Japan, and promised US launch sometimes in 2009. That sometimes has finally gotten a date, April 5th. The DSi is a small step up from current Nintendo DS Lite, with slimmer body, addition of two cameras, SD slot, and larger 3.25-inch screen.

With the announcement of DSi, Nintendo also roll out DSi Shop, a commerce system that allows gamers to buy and download games or demos using DSi points. I’ve been playing with DSi for quite sometimes now and these features upgrades are worth paying for.The DSi will be priced at $170 when it hits the shelf.
