With the new year coming up shortly, a couple of companies took a look back at the year we're leaving behind, with Facebook posting its Year in Review and Google Zeitgeist 2012 going live. A video of an L-series BlackBerry 10 device hit the Internet today, and you can now have a look at SlashGear's calendar using UpTo on iOS or Android. Facebook was named the best place to work at in 2013, while Google revealed that it doesn't have any plans to develop apps for Windows 8.

Despite the method Apple used for massive iPhone sales at the launch of the iPhone 4S this past year, it appears now that the iPhone 4 will be exiting the show before the iPhone 5 hits shelves later this year. Several companies including Target and RadioShack have initiated a $49.99 sale price for the iPhone 4 with Best Buy joining this party just this week. Searches across several online sources (including Best Buy online) have yielded shows of low or no stock on the phone, this very possibly pointing toward the stock change that will certainly occur once the next-generation iPhone 5 hits shelves.

Stock likely tight for Apple partners’ new iPad sales

This morning it's been announced that Apple will not only be selling the new iPad from their own retail locations, they'll be working with a series of 3rd party stores as well - this likely spreading the stock thin for everyone involved. This iPad release will have Apple joined by Best Buy, RadioShack, Sam's Club, Target, and Walmart, not to mention the two big mobile carriers giving this iPad its first dose of 4G LTE: AT&T and Verizon. Like last year's release of the iPad 2, customers should expect lines to be long and stock to be short - people are already lined up waiting for the Friday 8AM release, believe it or not!

RadioShack begins new iPad in-store pre-orders

RadioShack has begun accepting pre-orders for the new iPad, making it the first company other than Apple to start selling the third-generation tablet, previously referred to as the iPad 3 or iPad HD. The device was unveiled yesterday and is set to launch on March 16 with optional 4G LTE connectivity through Verizon and AT&T.

Right on cue before another big release from Barnes & Noble in the form of a autumn release of the Nook Color 2 comes a brand new carrier for the massively popular electronic reader. This announcement contains both the original Nook which is priced currently at $139 and the Nook Color which is currently set at $249. Both devices will be available at RadioShack soon, while onlookers see this as a move toward a more broad coverage of mobile computing devices at the retail chain.
