If you’ve been looking forward to getting your hands on the new HTC One Android-powered smartphone, you probably know the device was available as of last Friday. Both AT&T and T-Mobile began offering the HTC One on April 19. If you happen to have a local RadioShack location, you can also pick up the HTC One at RadioShack locations nationwide.

The benefit of picking up your HTC One from RadioShack is that the company is offering a nice extra. The big extra is that if you purchase the HTC One at a RadioShack location between now and June 1, you’ll get a $50 Google Play credit. That Google Play credit will go a long way toward getting you some new music, games, or other content to enjoy on your new smartphone.

RadioShack also has a Trade & Save Program that promises to make it easy to trade in your old phone for as much as $300 credit towards the new phone and accessories. RadioShack also gives buyers 24/7 Mobile Product Support at no cost with the purchase of mobile devices in stores. The $50 credit is available for buyers who opt for the HTC One on AT&T or Sprint.

The HTC One will cost you $199.99 at RadioShack when you register for qualifying two-year contract. Hardware wise, the HTC One from RadioShack is the same device you can pick up elsewhere. The phone is available with 32 GB of internal storage. AT&T will also be offering a version of the device with 64 GB of storage. However, RadioShack doesn’t mention if you can get the $50 Google Play credit on the 64 GB version.

We mentioned this morning that RadioShack and Target were going their separate ways with regards to their mobile service operation as of April 8. The two retailers were unable to come to an agreement to continue operating their mobile services partnership moving forward. The reason given for the dissolution of the partnership between the two companies was financial.

That likely means RadioShack wanted more than Target is willing to pay. What we didn’t know this morning when we talked about the two companies parting ways in the mobile industry was that Target already had two other providers lined up to continue operating its Target Mobile service. Target has now announced that it has selected new service partners for Target Mobile including Brightstar and MarketSource.

Brightstar is the world’s largest specialized wireless distributor and is described as a diversified service provider for the wireless industry. MarketSource is a leading provider of integrated sales and marketing services for the wireless industry. Both of these companies will begin supporting Target Mobile in April of 2013.

Brightstar will be Target Mobile’s new supply chain and point of activation technology provider. MarketSource will be Target’s in store sales and services partner. Target says that its Target Mobile service will be going through transition period between now and April 8, 2013 to ensure little to no disruption in the guest experience during the transition.

The days of being able to waltz into a Target and buy a smartphone with contract are nearing their end. RadioShack announced earlier today that it and Target reached an agreement to end their partnership, and that on April 8 Target Mobile will be no more. The reason for the dissolved partnership is cited as being financial in nature.

According to RadioShack, the company had entered re-negotiations of its partnership with Target for a change in terms that would be profitable for both of them. At the same time as the re-negotiations started, RadioShack also moved its termination notice into play, which would let it bail out of the partnership if the two companies couldn’t come to a new agreement.

The termination of its partnership will affect 1,500 Target stores, all of which currently offer Target Mobile. Under the mobile service, RadioShack was granted access to Target’s mobility business. Ultimately, an agreeable change in the partnership’s terms could not be reached, and so the two companies decided to part ways with no ill will on either side.

RadioShack’s Executive Vice President, Chief Human Resources, and General Manager of Retail Services Telvin Jeffries offered this statement. “In order for RadioShack to have continued this relationship, we needed to establish a new agreement that would be financially appealing to both companies. Ultimately, we amicably agreed to dissolve the relationship.”

If you’re looking for a good deal on the latest iPhones this holiday season, RadioShack has announced that they’re offering both the iPhone 5 and the iPhone 4S at $50 off for all carriers, which means you can get an iPhone 5 for as low as $149 and an iPhone 4S for as low as $49. RadioShack is also offering $10 cash back for every $50 you spend there.

The iPhone price drop most likely is a response to Best Buy’s recent promo deal on the iPhone 5, where the retailer dropped the price of the new device down to $149 after signing a two-year contract. While Best Buy left the iPhone 4S alone, RadioShack decided to offer a little more variety in their own deal and slashed the iPhone 4S price tag in half as well.

On top of the iPhone promo, RadioShack is also giving back $10 for every $50 that you spend on RadioShack merchandise, as well as free ground shipping for orders over $50. All cash back will be emailed to customers in the form of a coupon that can be used on a future purchase at RadioShack.

The cash back promo ends December 17, and while we weren’t given an end date to the iPhone promo, we’re guessing it won’t last long either, so if you’ve been beating around the bush and are thinking about getting a new iPhone, this is probably the lowest cost you’ll see in a while, so we’d suggest taking the deal now if it’s your time to buy.

While Black Friday isn’t for another few days, RadioShack is already getting a head start on the deals. Today, they’re offering a Samsung Galaxy S III for only $50, but in return, you’ll get a $50 gift card to the Google Play store. So essentially, it’s like getting a Galaxy S III for free, and you’ll be able to download a ton of paid apps while you’re at it.

If you’re even remotely thinking about buying a Galaxy S III for yourself or even a loved one this holiday season, you should take a peek at the RadioShack deal. It’s essentially a great deal for those who are new to Android, since the $50 Google Play gift card would be great to get new users on the fast track to buying and downloading some cool apps.

The deal is only good on certain carriers, which include AT&T, Verizon, and the Now Network. T-Mobile and US Cellular customers are out of luck on this deal. Of course, you’ll have to sign a new two-year contract in order to get the phone for the $50 price tag, but the Galaxy S III will definitely keep your significant other happy for two years.

On top of the GSIII deal, RadioShack is offering $10 cash back for every $50 spent in its stores and online, so even if you’re not into the Galaxy S III, you may want to see if you can do some of your Christmas shopping at RadioShack if you can. Of course, tons of stores offer similar “cash back” deals year-round, but if there’s something at RadioShack that’s on your shopping list, this may be the best time to get it.

Grumblings have been heard online for a while now that RadioShack is getting ready to release its own no contract wireless mobile phone plans. According to the grumblings, RadioShack’s service will be based on the Cricket Wireless rate plans. It sounds like RadioShack is simply rebranding Cricket Wireless plans for its own customers.

An image of an internal RadioShack computer system has surfaced online showing two rate plans, including monthly charges and features. There are only two tiers for smartphone users. The basic plan is $50 per month and includes unlimited Muve Music, voice minutes, text/picture/video messaging and 1 GB of 3G data.

After that 1 GB of data is hit, speeds will be throttled. A more expensive plan for $60 per month includes the same unlimited music, voice, and messaging minutes. It gives slightly more full speed 3G data before throttling with 2.5 GB available. The more expensive plan also includes mobile hotspot tethering and unlimited 411 assistance.

Both wireless plans offer additional full speed 3G data at $1 per 50 MB used. The key differentiator between these RadioShack plans and buying directly from Cricket Wireless comes in music consumption. RadioShack is offering free unlimited music in the normal rate plans while unlimited music is a $10 monthly option directly from Cricket. Feature phone users can get a plan with unlimited messaging and unlimited 1x mobile data with 300 anytime voice minutes for $25 monthly or 1000 anytime minutes for $35 monthly.

The official Google Play store for digital media such as apps, music, and books, has been given a collection of real-life gift cards. This set of gift cards appears in $10, $25, and $50 denominations, and is able to be used on digital media only – no hardware or accessory purchases here! These gift cards will be available immediately if not soon at RadioShack, Target, and GameStop.

The gift cards you’re seeing here are made available by Google for those of you looking to grab your kid, sibling, friend, or associate something simple and relatively free of commitment. Just like the iTunes gift cards that’ve been appearing in holiday gift cards for years now, the Google Play gift card line is set to be a giant force in holiday gift giving. In other words, Apple will be making a double-effort from now on to make sure they’ve got rack space above Google’s new offering.

These gift cards are able to purchase songs, movies, and TV shows instantly from the Google Play store online or through your Android-toting device. You can also purchase Android apps as well as eBooks galore from Google’s vast library of titles. These cards work to not only rent movies and TV shows, but to buy them as well – but purchases of TV shows and movies only work on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean devices so far – so watch out for that!

These cards are set to appear at the three retailers listed soon – they may already be in stores if you’re lucky! Google adds, once again, that “Google Play gift cards cannot be redeemed for Android app subscriptions, magazine subscriptions, or hardware and accessory purchases. Refer to the Google Play Gift Card Terms and Conditions for more details. Content subject to availability by country.” Remember that bit!

Despite the method Apple used for massive iPhone sales at the launch of the iPhone 4S this past year, it appears now that the iPhone 4 will be exiting the show before the iPhone 5 hits shelves later this year. Several companies including Target and RadioShack have initiated a $49.99 sale price for the iPhone 4 with Best Buy joining this party just this week. Searches across several online sources (including Best Buy online) have yielded shows of low or no stock on the phone, this very possibly pointing toward the stock change that will certainly occur once the next-generation iPhone 5 hits shelves.

Both RadioShack and Target also have sales currently for the newest model on the market, the iPhone 4S, this also triggering analysts to suggest that Apple is cleaning stock for the 2012 generation. The iPhone 3GS, on the other hand, is still as free as it was when the iPhone 4S was released – though good luck to you on finding one in-stock anywhere online at the moment. The iPhone 5 (or The New iPhone, iPhone 4G, or whatever it will end up being called) will likely be popping up in October, the same month that last year’s iPhone 4S was announced and released.

In years past it was June that the new iPhone was released, both the iPhone 4 and the iPhone 3GS being announced and released inside that month. The next-generation iPhone has been tipped to be coming with a profile that’s nearly identical to the current-generation iPhone 4/4S but with a 4-inch display instead along with 4G LTE and several other next-level additions. Have a peek at our iPhone 5 timeline below to see all there is to see on the iPhone 5 before it’s revealed for real!

This morning it’s been announced that Apple will not only be selling the new iPad from their own retail locations, they’ll be working with a series of 3rd party stores as well – this likely spreading the stock thin for everyone involved. This iPad release will have Apple joined by Best Buy, RadioShack, Sam’s Club, Target, and Walmart, not to mention the two big mobile carriers giving this iPad its first dose of 4G LTE: AT&T and Verizon. Like last year’s release of the iPad 2, customers should expect lines to be long and stock to be short – people are already lined up waiting for the Friday 8AM release, believe it or not!

It’s an 8AM local time release for several areas around the world including the USA, UK, Germany, Japan, and six other countries, all of them in the same 24 hour period. Sales of the new iPad will begin on March 16th (this Friday) in these countries and will be released to an additional 25 locations in the world in coming weeks. The base price for the least expensive model iPad in this new lineup is $499 for the 16GB Wi-fi-only model.

SImilar to last year’s sale of the iPad 2, customers can expect that though third party sales locations may run out of units inside the first day, official Apple stores will likely be stocked up enough to work with demand. Last year your humble narrator stood in line for several hours at the Mall of America in Minnesota to pick up an iPad 2 and found that even hours after the line was depleted, units did remain. That said, all mobile data connected units were sold out before the line was filled. Pick your unit carefully!

The 25 countries that will get the new iPad starting on the 23rd of March are thus: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Macau, Mexico, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden. Online sales for these countries have no yet been confirmed.

RadioShack has begun accepting pre-orders for the new iPad, making it the first company other than Apple to start selling the third-generation tablet, previously referred to as the iPad 3 or iPad HD. The device was unveiled yesterday and is set to launch on March 16 with optional 4G LTE connectivity through Verizon and AT&T.

The pre-order process through RadioShack, however, is bit a more complicated. The retailer requires shoppers to first purchase a $50 gift card that can be used towards picking up the new iPad or any other products in the store. If you simply show up to queue on March 16, you will not need to purchase the gift card. Pre-orders are not accepted online and must be made in-store.

Additionally, RadioShack is offering a Trade & Save program that lets shoppers get up to $350 for a used iPad 2 or $175 for the first generation iPad. Shoppers that purchase a new iPad or iPad 2 using a Shack Card also qualify for a $50 mail-in rebate, but that offer ends on March 31.

Right on cue before another big release from Barnes & Noble in the form of a autumn release of the Nook Color 2 comes a brand new carrier for the massively popular electronic reader. This announcement contains both the original Nook which is priced currently at $139 and the Nook Color which is currently set at $249. Both devices will be available at RadioShack soon, while onlookers see this as a move toward a more broad coverage of mobile computing devices at the retail chain.

This past Sunday was also the final closing of the doors of Borders, one of Barnes & Noble’s biggest competitors. Whether or not this was due directly to the fact that they didn’t bring their A game to the eReader court or not is still up to debate. What Barnes & Noble has here is an expanding model that’s set to continue to grow through the future along with their physical book store chain which is suddenly, with the death of Borders, looking a lot more ubiquitous on the book buying circuit. RadioShack also has 4,675 stores in total in the USA and Mexico that it can add to the physical representation of the Nook.

Barnes & Noble’s OTHER competitors, Amazon.com, may well be bringing out another barrel of fire in the near future with an Android tablet that’s set to go up against the Nook Color directly. Word is that it’s possible this eReader / Android tablet hybrid will encompass the entirety of Amazon.com’s cloud computing efforts, this leaving Barnes & Noble perhaps looking to amp themselves up for the Nook Color 2 as well.

RadioShack has just begun clearing out T-Mobile Android phones under the guise of a “Back-to-School” sale. But we all know that it’s really needing to clear out all T-Mobile inventory by September 15, when the floundering carrier will get kicked out to usher in Verizon in its place. So, if you’ve been wanting to pick up a T-Mobile Sidekick 4G or a G2X, now’s the time.

The deal offers all T-Mobile handsets for free with a qualifying 2-year contract. This includes the Samsung Galaxy S 4G, Samsung Gravity Smart, T-Mobile Sidekick 4G, and T-Mobile G2X. RadioShack is aiming to clear out all these handsets by September 14, so that its new partnership with Verizon would kick off the very next day.

The RadioShack and T-Mobile exclusive partnership went south after the carrier’s smartphones didn’t perform competitively, causing RadioShack a major slump in sales. Getting dropped by RadioShack, which has over 4,300 store nationwide, could hurt T-Mobile enough to make a stronger case for the merger with AT&T.

AT&T announced its plans to acquire T-Mobile for $39 billion back in March and has since been in the process of getting FCC approval. It faced a major road block yesterday with an antitrust filing by the US DOJ seeking to block the merger.

Thirty years ago, the IBM PC was born, and consumers were treated to what for many was the beginning of a new era in home electronics. It was August 12th, 1981 – not the first time anyone had owned their first personal computer, as the MITS Altair 8800 had already been released in 1975, the Apple II and Commodore PET had been released in 1977, RadioShack had a “Model 1″ somewhere in there, and the first Ataris (800 and 400) had been released in 1979. All of this was punched directly in the nose by what everyone in the computing business in the time would agree was the most trusted and perhaps the most important tech group in the world – thirty years ago to the day.

The first IBM trumped the 8-bit processors the competition was toting with its then-monstrous 16-bit processor. It utilized a 160k floppy disk drive, had a monochrome adapter for a graphics card, it’s display showed green on black, and ran PC-DOS. This system PC-DOS was later to be known as MS-DOS of course once Microsoft had it licensed to 3rd party vendors. Memory inside this first IBM PC was fabulous at 40K ROM, 64K RAM expandable to 256K with the cost of each 64K being $495 USD.

The total cost of a full IMB PC at launch was $3,005, and in the entirety of 1981, exactly 671,537 units were sold. All of this is according to Michael Miller’s 20th anniversary post on PCMag back in 2001. This $3,005 unit included memory of 64,000 bytes, a single diskette drive and its own display. You could also buy a bare-bones unit for home use attached to an audio tape cassette player and a television set would sell for approximately $1,565.

C.B. Rogers, Jr., IBM vice president and group executive, General Business Group said of the IMB PC at launch:

“This is the computer for just about everyone who has ever wanted a personal system at the office, on the university campus, or at home. We believe its performance, reliability, and ease of use make it the most advanced, affordable personal computer in the marketplace.”

What a blockbuster! What was your first computer? Mine was certainly the lovely Macintosh Color Classic, a fully color console/display in one unit, starting with 4 MB memory and having a sweet Motorola 16 MHz processor running System 7.1 – Mac OS 7.6.1. Of course I quickly got wise in those days as to what having a Mac VS having a PC really meant – artwork and design OR games. By the time Diablo II came out I couldn’t stand it anymore – PC it certainly was. Were there any IBM components in my first PC? I haven’t a clue. Did I look like the little guy in the photo above? You bet!

A sure sign that the next-gen iPhone is approaching fast is retailers eagerly dropping prices on current-gen models. RadioShack, which has just had a week-long sale on the iPhone 4, has now further cut prices for all iPhone models currently in stock.

All models of the iPhone 4 now continue to get the $30 discount, which in the previous promotion had dropped the 16GB iPhone 4 from $199 to $169. On top of this, if you trade-in an iPhone 3G or 3GS, you can get as much as $150 towards the iPhone 4 purchase, bringing down the 16GB iPhone price to only $19 and the 32GB model to $119.

This promotion will continue until August 20, which suggests that the iPhone 5 may be hitting in the second week of September after all. Some recent rumors have pegged the iPhone 5 for an October release, but with such aggressive promotions in the month of August, October looks to be too far out.

So you’re in the mood for some hip-hop endorsed audio in the form of over the ear headphones but you’re not into the whole Beats by Dre fad, yes? Perhaps you’d like a slightly more GOLD solution? It’s time for Ludacris to come out from the shadows and plop some SOUL headphones on your head. The Over-Ear SL300 headphones by the name of SOUL by Ludacris are shipping now, retailers including the likes of RadioShack, Amazon.com, Best Buy, and Microsoft (the store you’ll find directly across the aisle from the Apple store in the Mall of America, of course.) Apple stores will be carrying them as well.

This isn’t the first time we’ve come in contact with the Ludacris in audio situation, the first time being WAY back in 2009 when Chris Davies interviewed the rapper / producer / actor as he sat beside Monster’s Noel Lee. At the time they’d been speaking about “possible” projects. Now we’re talking about Ludacris matching up with Soul Electronics, completely separate group, to create these lovely noise-canceling headphones in several color combinations.

The fact that Ludacris recently starred in the newest installment of the Fast and the Furious series of car-racing movies is not to be mistaken for the five-model-lineup this SOUL by Ludacris headphone extravaganza is turning into. The SL300s are only the tip of the iceberg, there’s still the High Definition On-Ear models SL150 and SL100, and the SL99 and SL49 High Definition In-Ear headphones to come! This entier line will and does contain pro-voiced sound technology with “advanced circutry and drivers” designed by a team of engineers who have also reportedly “developed some of the most notable acoustic breakthroughs in the audio industry.

Also note, since it’s the most awesome feature ever, all modes feature gold-plated connectors for seamless signal transfer. The SL300 models are now available nationwide at Apple.com, Amazon.com, BestBuy.com, Headphones.com, Brookstone, Buy.com, Bobizzo.com, AAFES, InMotion, MacMall, Microsoft Store, Huppin’s OneCall, Ovation and Vann’s and are going to run you approximately $299.

If you have been thinking about getting a new iPhone you might want to wait a bit and see how things shake out. There are some rumors and a leaked screen shot from Radio Shack that suggest that the iPhone is about to get a price cut. Apple often slashes the price of older gear as it gears up to release the new replacement for the devices.

All the rumors are pointing to a September launch for the iPhone 5 giving roughly a month before the launch is the rumor is accurate. The price of the current iPhone 4 being reduced would make sense in the face of the new device coming. The Radio Shack screen shows the 8GB 3GS for $19.99, the iPhone 4 16GB at $169.99, and the iPhone 4 32GB at $269.99.

Target is also rumored to be cutting the prices of the smartphones and the cuts are very similar. Sources put Target’s iPhone 3GS at $19.99, the 16GB iPhone 4 at $149.99, and the 32GB iPhone 4 at $249.99. Obviously, the prices would be with a new contract. Another tip claims that you can trade in an iPhone 3GS you can get $100 off the iPhone 4 and than get another 5% off by paying with a Target credit card.

RadioShack has had an exclusive partnership with T-Mobile, which in recent months has proven to be a bad pairing for the electronics retailer, who saw a major slump in sales back in April caused by the weakness in T-Mobile’s offerings. Hence, unsurprisingly, RadioShack announced today that it will be giving T-Mobile the boot, to welcome new partner Verizon.

T-Mobile has already been lagging behind without a true 4G LTE network and without many of the most in-demand handsets. It’s also in the process of merging with AT&T, just pending the approval of federal regulators. Being dropped by RadioShack, which has over 4,300 stores nationwide, will certainly help AT&T’s case in acquiring the nation’s smallest of the four major carriers.

The deal with Verizon is considered a major win for RadioShack, who will now be able to offer several of the latest most cutting edge smartphones on the nation’s fastest 4G LTE network. The transition process will complete by September 14, when RadioShack will no longer carry T-Mobile phones and services. The very next day, RadioShack will begin offering Verizon products.

Originally, it was rumored that the HTC EVO 3D would arrive sometime around June 4th. But the latest photograph of what’s purportedly an upcoming RadioShack flyer suggests that the HTC EVO 3D will actually arrive for Sprint on June 24th. It also indicates that pre-orders will be taken up until Tuesday, June 21.

A previously leaked RadioShack flyer pegged the price tag for the HTC EVO 3D at $199 with a new two-year service agreement, and $499 without contract.

The HTC EVO 3D is hailed as the first glasses-free 3D smartphone to hit the market. But when exactly is it planning to hit and at what price has continued to elude us. Secretive pre-orders started at Best Buy, with employees ordered to keep hush on any details. And other rumors suggest a June 4th launch, but still no pricing confirmation. Now thanks to a leaked RadioShack advertising page, a price has finally been revealed.

The RadioShack ad shows that the HTC EVO 3D will be available for $199.99 with a new or upgraded two-year agreement along with a monthly $10 Premium Data plan. Without a contract, the device will cost $499. And to make the deal more enticing, they’re preloading the handset with a 3D version of The Green Hornet, so that you can enjoy a glasses-free 3D experience right off the bat.

Even without the 3D gimmickry, the HTC EVO 3D should be pretty awesome. It will have 4.3-inch glasses-free 3D screen with qHD resolution, an array of two 5-megapixel back cameras capable of 3D video and stills, a 1.3-megapixel front camera, and all running on a 1.2 GHz dual core Snapdragon processor. Make sure to check-out our hands-on with the device.

Demand is still far ahead of supply for the iPad 2, which has proved to be quite a boon to eBay sellers. AppleInsider was able to get initial iPad 2 sales data from eBay, which shows what models are the most popular, and who is buying them. Most of of the units (65%) are being sold in the U.S., showing that even though the device has been out for a few weeks now, there is still a shortage.

By contrast, only 35 percent of eBay sales of the original iPad were to the U.S. The Wi-Fi only 16GB model is the most popular, with 30% of all sales, with the second most sought after option being the 3G 64GB version at 23%. And resellers are making a bundle, selling for quite a bit above retail. The 16GB Wi-Fi model sells for $198 average above retail, and the 64GB model sells for $406 over the asking price.

eBay has been much stricter with iPad 2 selling rules, only allowing Apple authorized resellers to list 50 items per week, and top-rated sellers four items per week. With the iPad, there were no limits for resellers, and eBay top sellers could list 8 items per week.

Apple has improved estimated shipping times, however, with new orders shipping in three to four weeks. They have also begun selling the iPad 2 at RadioShack.

RadioShack has announced a new plan that will help mobile phone users that want a new device get one at a discount called Fresh Phone February. The plan will get the customer $50 off a new phone when they trade in a working existing phone of any sort.

To be eligible for the trade-in program the phone the user trades in must work, the case must not be broken, the screen can’t be cracked, and the phone can have no signs of water damage. If your device meets all those criteria, you can get $50 off a new device like the HTC EVO 4G or the Evo Shift 4G.

The phones that you can get the $50 credit towards will change and the EVO 4G and shift 4G are the devices from now until February 12. The event runs until March 5, but the devices available to choose from will change on the 12th.

RadioShack has turned itself into one of the places that you need to check before you upgrade to a new smartphone or buy a new device. The thing I like best about the deals RadioShack offers is that there are no mail-in rebates; the price advertised is what you pay.

If you have had your eye on a new Evo 4G smartphone and are a new customer or have an upgrade you can get the Evo 4G for $99 until December 25. To get that price you have to trade in any working cell phone and sign a new 2-year contract. The phone you trade doesn’t even need to be a smartphone, it just needs to work.

If the Evo 4G isn’t what you want you can also get the Samsung Captivate on AT&T for $49.99. If Windows Phone 7 is your thing, the LG Quantum is also $49.99. The iPhone 3GS is also being discounted to $49 along with the BlackBerry Torch. All new devices will also get a free Bluetooth headset with a qualifying 2-year mobile plan.

So you’d like some deals, yes? I’d like some deals, we’d ALL like some deals. But do you want to go out into the streets and risk getting punched in the face, that’s the real question. Here at SlashGear, we know your pain. We know you want to get a sweet discount on your favorite device, service, or strange product (my favorite), but you want to know if you’re going to have to jump out of bed to do it, or if you’re going to be able to just chill in your Turkey-basted leftovers haze. Therefor the first way we’re separating deals here in The SlashGear Black Friday Deal Guide of Complete Excellence is in two categories: Online and In the Streets. This is also a LIVE post, meaning we’ll be adding to it as that faithful day approaches.

Now remember, these are hand-picked by our staff, and almost certainly are the best deals you’re going to find on the products (or similar products) sold on Black Friday. If you’ve got any additions or suggestions you’d like to make, feel free to comment below and we’ll more than likely add them to the big lists. This list is centered around electronics, but isn’t limited to them, as we know you love accessories and wacky weirdness as well.

The store is one of the places where a lot of mobile phone users head when it’s time to buy a new phone because they tend to have some deals that you can’t get other places. It’s windows Phone 7 deals seem to be on par with other sellers.

RadioShack has announced that it is adding the Samsung Focus to its line up for AT&T with a big 4-inch Super-AMOLED touch screen and a 5MP camera among other cool features for $199.99. The HTC HD7 is also being offered on T-Mobile with the device selling for $199.99 for new customers or $249.99 for upgrade customers.

The HD7 has a big 4.3-inch screen and an integrated kickstand. We reviewed this phone recently and we think you can find better Windows Phone 7 handsets, whether they will be on T-mobile is another question. RadioShack is also getting the LG Quantum for AT&T. The device has a 3.5-inch screen and a price of $179.99 for new or upgrade customers. It has a 3.5-inch screen, a 1GHz processor, 16GB of storage and a lot more.

The company is trying to make itself into something more than a place you can buy toys and other obsolete components with the addition of a ton of mobile phones.

The company has announced that it will be offering the Samsung Galaxy S smartphone with three different carriers in one place. The Shack will sell you the Samsung Epic for Sprint, the Vibrant for T-Mobile, and the Captivate on AT&T. All of the devices are one and the same.

We already know the specs for the Galaxy S with a super AMOLED screen racking in at 4-inches, a 1GHz CPU, and HD multimedia capability. RadioShack will be selling the device at 4000 stores across the country starting on August 31 with pre sales kicking off on August 13. The T-Mo offering will come with Avatar movie, The Sims 3 game, the Vibrant will come with a $50 RadioShack gift card by mail, and the Captivate, which is $50 more than the Vibrant, will get a $20 accessory credit immediately in store.

Time certainly does catch up with you, doesn’t it? Hopefully you were all having fun, so it flew by and what not. Just feels like yesterday that we all sat here, and brought you the announcement of Apple’s latest iPhone iteration, the iPhone 4. And in all the hub-bub, we also told you that Walmart, RadioShack, and Best Buy would be part of the third-party retailer brigade offering up their own models for pre-order and sale. Well, tomorrow’s the big pre-order day, so jump after the break to find out where you can go to pick one up, and what you need to do to make it happen.

First and foremost, and probably the easiest way to do it, would be to get on your computer, head on over to Apple’s website, and get your pre-order on right then and there. You won’t have to worry about lines, crazy customers or employees, and you’re guaranteed delivery on its release date. So, again, no lines or general craziness. Though, you will have to sit at home and listen to all those people who got it before you, because they did brave those lines and what not. But, we’re sure you can handle it. You could also head into an Apple Store, but they’ll just put you at a computer, where you’ll pre-order it from Apple’s website. So, pick your poison.

Now, the other “direct” option would be to go into an AT&T shop and pre-order that way. However, here’s something to consider: you’ll have to pay the full amount for the iPhone 4 right then and there. Furthermore, you’re not guaranteed launch day arrival at all. In fact, some AT&T employees are reporting that you might even have to wait until June 25th, anyway. So, we’ll just go ahead and say it: probably not the way to go.

As for third party retailers, we’ll start from the bottom of the pile. Walmart is going to sell the iPhone 4 on June 24th, that much is a given. However, there doesn’t seem to be a clear, concise, confirmed approach to the whole pre-order business. Basically, no one knows. So, unless you absolutely need to be at Walmart at 5:30am tomorrow morning, we suggest if you’re going to go to a third party retailer, you head somewhere else.

RadioShack is offering up the same pre-order deal they were for Sprint’s EVO 4G. You’ll need to drop $50 right there on the spot to make sure that you get a launch day device, and that $50 will also come off the total price of the handset. RS is also throwing in an accessory credit, too, so you basically get a free gift for stopping into their stores. That’s awful nice of them. Some RadioShacks around the nation will be opening for launch day.

And finally, Best Buy. They’re doing the same deal as RadioShack more or less. You’ll need to put down $50, and you’ll be guaranteed a handset when it hits store shelves on June 24th. You’ll be able to enter some Best Buy locations early, as most will be opening their doors before normal opening hours to handle all the hustle and bustle. However, on pre-order day, stores won’t be opening early.

Now, for the last bit. Unfortunately, due to some leaked AT&T documentation, ModMyi is reporting that there won’t be any white iPhone 4′s available at launch. As the documentation states, the white version will be coming out “at a later date.” So, probably some time later in the Summer, if anything else. This could also mean that third party retailers, and even AT&T, aren’t getting the white version, but that Apple corporate stores may still be getting the lighter hued hardware. There’s quite a few of you out there who want the white one, so we’re wondering if the denial of that version would mean your purchase would get squashed. Let us know in the comments! As soon as we know more, like whether or not this rumor changes, we’ll be sure to let you know.

RadioShack has over the last year or so turned itself into one of the biggest resellers of mobile phones from a variety of carriers around. Many folks in areas that have 4G coverage from Sprint have been anxiously waiting for the EVO 4G to land. The device is the first 4G smartphone offered on the Sprint network.

RadioShack has now announced that it will start taking pre-orders on the EVO 4G on May 14, which is today for those of you not keeping up. The handset will land in RadioShack stores on June 4. To pre-order the device users have to go into a store and buy a special $50 gift card.

That gift card is used towards the purchase price of the handset. When the card is purchased, the user also sets up a time to pick up the phone and get it activated for use. RadioShack has specially trained experts on the EVO 4G in its stores to teach buyers how to use the device.

It seems just like yesterday we were doing this. Oh, right. Well, we’re glad you’re back! And if you’re new, welcome to The Daily Slash, where we grab the few, random, interesting stories from around the Interwebs, and we list them right here for you. Tonight, we’ve got two giants in the tech world meeting face-to-face, a shack with a radio in the name leveraging the possibilities of a sale, a hotel that’s got some wheels, and finally a computer that’s got a graphics card in it that may make your heart skip a beat. All in a day’s work. So, sit back, and let’s get into it.

Steve Jobs and Eric Schmidt Meet in Palo Alto, Probably Not Talking About the Weather: Today, a tipster was walking around in the Town and Country Shopping Center in Palo Alto, and caught Steve Jobs and Eric Schmidt shooting the breeze in front of Calafia. The tipster suggests that they heard Steve Jobs say: “They’re going to see it all eventually, so who cares how they get it.” And, “Let’s go discuss this somewhere more private.” We’re pretty sure we can determine what the two of them were talking about in that last bit, but the first part has us scratching our head. The tipster suggests they were talking about web content. Interesting, to say the least. We’ll just have to hope that this little meeting does in deed produce something we’d all be interested in seeing. [via Gizmodo]

RadioShack Wants to be Bought Out, They’re Eyeballing Best Buy: What could make one of the largest brick-and-mortar electronic stores on the planet better? Buying <em>another</em> electronics store, of course! Sure, RadioShack may not be nearly as big as Best Buy, but they do offer up cell phones for cheap with contracts, much like the yellow price-tag shop does, so maybe that means some more crazy things could come of a deal. <em>The New York Post</em> reported today that the Texas-based chain is poised to take some drastic actions, whether that means getting buddy-buddy with a deep-pocketed investor, or getting merged with another company. This is where Best Buy would come in. Of course, RadioShack spokespeople would not comment on the article from the <em>Post</em>, but if something is in the works, we’re sure that it won’t be too long before we hear more about it. [via The New York Post]

This is the Rotel (no, it’s not hotel pronounced by Scooby-Doo): Ever been in Germany, and you couldn’t find a place to save your life? And we don’t mean those one-room establishments, either. No, sometimes you want to live the life of luxury, and you want that luxury to go where you go. So, you’ll need to check out the Rotel Tours, where you and up to 23 others can roll around in a tour bus. But, when you need to sleep, there’s a capsule outfitted onto the bus lines, where it sleeps 26. (Because the tour guide and driver need to sleep, too.) The Rotel Tours bus lines have a small kitchen, as well as a toilet. But, what they don’t have, is a shower. So, bring lots of deodorant. And hope everyone else does, too. You can make trips in the Serengeti, all the way to Patagonia, because Rotel Tours has 3,400 beds trolling around the country side. [via Inhabitat]

Origin PC Makes a Monster PC, Might Make Your Electric Bill Become a Monser Too: So, NVIDIA officially unveiled their GeForce GTX 470 and 480 graphics cards today, which we covered right here, and they are definitely rolling in that Fermi goodness. The graphics cards will be made available for purchase on April 12, but if you want to go ahead and build a monster PC to go along with them, then this is where you need to be. Origin PC has managed to give you the option of installing single, dual, or triple SLI configurations of those graphics cards, along with a premium cost for an overclocked 4.4GHz Core i7-980X Extreme Edition CPU. Basically, considering the 250W it takes to run one GeForce GTX 480 graphics card, we’re hoping you have a small power plant in your backyard for when you fire this baby up. [via Engadget]

That’s considerably cheaper than the Archos 5 32GB which Amazon currently offer for $379.99. Since the touchscreen PMP and web-surfing tablet has a microSD card slot, you could feasibly push in a 16GB card and take the internal storage up to 24GB should you be particularly keen on memory.

Otherwise the functionality is the same, which means you get WiFi b/g and pretty broad video/audio codec support, together with a WebKit-based browser and Bluetooth. Although in its untampered form the Archos 5 only has access to the company’s own application store, a recent hack has added the regular Android Market together with the usual Google Android applications to the MID.

It has been only a few weeks since RadioShack announced that it was rebranding itself as The Shack. Only a few weeks before that big name change the company announced that it would be offering T-Mobile phones in its retail locations.

RadioShack announced today that the T-Mobile myTouch 3G is now available to purchase in its 4,000 retail stores. That means if your area has no T-Mobile location you can finally get your hands on the cool Android device without having to order online and wait for it to get to your door.

The thing I wonder about is why RadioShack is still referring to itself as RadioShack rather than The Shack since the name change is official. The corporate name is still RadioShack, but you would think they would want to get the new name out there rather than making announcements as RadioShack. Android fans in Puerto Rico can also get the myTouch 3G in RadioShack locations there as well.
