Chumby has been around for some time now, and the team behind it are keeping their promise to release updated features for the squidgy touchscreen companion. The latest is support for Pandora radio, the streaming online music service that creates custom ’stations’ based on your favorite tracks. Pandora on Chumby allows you to log into you account, listen to existing stations and create new ones, with playback through the integrated speakers.

We’ve been covering a lot of these radio-controlled helicopters lately, but this Falcon model is rather interesting. In fact, it offers more functionality than just flying around.

Microsoft has released the Zune v3.0 software for its PMP, updating all of its media devices with the ability to automatically recognize tracks from the radio and download them via WiFi, view recommendations from Zune music staff, and listen to “channels” and “collections” of regularly updated, themed audio. Zune owners with a taste for fast food will also get free WiFi access when at more than 9,800 McDonalds outlets, thanks to a deal with network provider Wayport.

Altec Lansing have unveiled a number of new audio systems, including a high-quality portable speaker dock for the iPhone 3G, a combination speaker dock, FM radio and clock (with color changing mood light), and a desktop speaker system with integrated dual subwoofers. The inMotion MAX Portable Digital Music System uses the company’s proprietary ESS technology with XdB bass-enhancement and twin stereo speakers. It’s fully WiFi and cellphone shielded, so can be used with the iPhone 3G (or original iPhone) without needing to flip off the phone functionality. Music is automatically paused if the phone rings.

PURE has just announced that they’ll be releasing an Internet radio device that makes listening to your favorite stations a breeze. And get this: you don’t have to be near a computer to enjoy them.
The Pure Evoke Flow radio will be released in the UK next month. The radio works by connecting wirelessly to a website that was just created specifically for the device called Pure Lounge. Once connected, you can stream a variety of stations. FM stations are also available for streaming on either traditional FM or digital audio broadcasts. This is not available in all areas, however.
Revo’s Pico RadioStation is still not much use to anyone outside of a DAB service area who wants to listen to digital radio, but the company has included WiFi in this latest model. That means access to hundreds of internet radio stations, and since there’s an FM radio in there as well you can tune in even without a wireless connection available.

Still, Mikhail Stawsky’s Bluetooth Umbrella concept still looks pretty sweet; as well as doing the usual duties of keeping your head dry, the handle also contains a variety of Bluetooth hands-free gubbins.
