Ent 236x180 customBack at the beginning of the month, we had a whole slew of Android information come swirling into our offices. We did our best to cover it, and part of that coverage was this little piece of Mobile Internet Device (MID) Heaven. It’s a pretty slick, piano-black piece of tech that’s running some might Android goodness. And, despite the coverage we splattered all over it before, we were lacking any real live shots of the device. Well, now’s as good a time for change as any other, right?

The Toshiba TG01 came out awhile back, and while it may not have been the greatest phone to release this year, it did have some promising aspects: like that huge screen and thin framework. But that didn’t stop Toshiba from dropping word on the phone’s successors, the TG02 and TG03, which were pictured back in April. But now it looks like the Toshiba TG02 has made another appearance. Or has it?

Today has been exciting for mobile phone enthusiasts. First, information on the HTC Lancaster was released. Details about the Lancaster include a 2.8″ touchscreen, full size slide out QWERTY, and will feature a unique HTC Social Networking integration client. Launch date on ATT is slated for August 3rd.

Hackintosh netbooks are nothing new, these days, and so the more extreme OS X tweakers move on to more esoteric hardware.  We’ve already seen Sony’s VAIO UX-series UMPC running Apple’s OS, but Micro PC Talk user perrin21 has a particularly slick setup: a subtly modified Sony VAIO UX 390 running OS X 10.5.7 as though it just stepped off a Cupertino production line.

We knew the Acer Tempo M900 would be dropping in April or May and now an unlocked version of the phone has appeared for sale on MobileSteals.com listed at $671.99. The device is “Out of Stock” at the moment, but it appears to be legitimate.

picture 14 269x304 customStarting today, the Sidekick LX is available for pre-order from Sidekick.com for pre-existing T-Mobile customers. The phone will retain its iconic swivel design, but now coming in two colors -orchid and carbon- and adds features such as GPS-enabled LiveSearch. The Sidekick LX will also feature a 3.2″ TFT display, and a 3.2 MP camera. The new Sidekick also features a notably thinner design.

The new Sidekick will also take advantage of T-Mobile’s developing 3G network, offering much faster browsing speeds than the previous generation Sidekick. This will come in handy for the social-network loving users who will advantage from the “Communities” section of the LX, which will feature one-click links to Facebook, MySpace and Twitter via an optimized application screen. These applications will also push notifications directly on the homescreen of the Sidekick, letting the user know if they have any events from their friends on their networks.
