NVIDIA MWC 2012 invite teases world’s first quad-core phone

As the 2012 edition of Mobile World Congress quickly approaches, NVIDIA sends its invite to a series of events, the ultimate subject being their quad-core Tegra 3 processor sitting on a smartphone! This reveal will end up being the first time we’ve seen a quad-core System on Chip working on a device smaller than a tablet, and in true classic fashion, will mark one year exactly since we first laid eyes on the original announcement of Tegra 3, then code-named Project Kal-El. Superman has since landed on the Asus Transformer Prime and will soon find its way onto several other tablets, also perhaps being released at this same set of events.

LG X3 quad-core ICS smartphone teased in detail

This week it's time to get serious about quad-cores, be it in the tablets that defined CES 2012, the HTC Edge or Endeavor, whatever it ends up being called, and now the LG X3, the device you see in the image here in this post. This device has been tipped to PocketNow as having the fabulous NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor inside, working with a 4.7-inch 1280 x 720 pixel resolution display, and all the while working with a profile that's under 9mm. iPad 3 rumors claim quad-core and 4G LTE coming this March

We can chalk this up as just another iPad rumor although the news is extremely exciting if accurate. The details come from Bloomberg and say what we've already heard recently -- that iPad 3 production is already under way and we could even see a launch as early as March. The new details however, state that the iPad 3 will apparently have 4G LTE speeds and a faster quad-core processor. Read The Full Story
