ALIEN: Isolation: Ripley’s daughter hits Xbox One, 360, PS3, PS4, PC in 2014

This week it's become clear that the next Alien franchise game will be not only a multi-console, multi-tiered release, it'll also be as much the terror-infused survival game as the original Alien movie made us wish for. Of course we've got a long way to go before the game actually hits stores, but for now it's looking like the controversial inclusion of Ellen Ripley's daughter in the script is taking a back seat to the idea that this will be everything but a straight-up translation of Alien to a first-person game.

Worms Battlegrounds coming to both PS4 and Xbox One

While we're still not entirely solid on how - or if it makes a difference how - the game will be published through the PlayStation 4, we have been made aware that Worms Battlegrounds will be amongst the first self-published games on the Xbox One. This publishing will be done through Microsoft's ID@Xbox program and the game will be released sometime inside 2014. The same is true for the PlayStation 4 version of this Worms title, both titles coming from the developers at Team 17.

When you happen upon Outlast for PlayStation 4, you'll find it tagged with some rather heavy-looking warnings. Heed them all. This game is not for the weak-hearted. If you've got a PlayStation Network account you'll be able to download the game for free - otherwise it'll cost you a cool $19.99 - completely reasonable for one of the most highly rated horror games of 2013, right? Ten minutes of download time (at least) might have you reconsidering.

Call of Duty: Ghosts Onslaught release for PC and PS4 hits February 27

The first downloadable content pack (DLC) for the game Call of Duty: Ghosts called "Onslaught" has officially been scheduled to arrive on the 27th of February. This puts the release at just around a month after the release of the Xbox One version of the DLC, creating a bit of an early, limited exclusive for the Microsoft-made machine. Bethesda's oft-leaked and much-anticipated upcoming Elder Scrolls Online will be kinder to PlayStation 4 than Xbox One gamers, at least as far as subscription requirements are concerned. Today in a PlayStation blog post, ZeniMax Online Studios put concerns at ease, saying a PlayStation Plus subscription won't be required to play. Xbox One gamers aren't so lucky, however, according to a statement from Bethesda.
