Bethesda outlines Fallout 4 Creation Kit release plans

Bethesda outlines Fallout 4 Creation Kit release plans

Fallout 4 was, and is, a great game. Sure, there are plenty of things to argue about, such as the never-ending missions that sent you off to rescue settlements. But overall, I enjoyed it a lot. I put it down a month or two ago, and have been letting it sit until Bethesda opens up mod support for the game. And now we finally have an idea of when that will be.

Dark Souls 3 pre-orders come with original game, or soundtrack

The Xbox store has been a wealth of information lately. For some reason, the Australian version of the store has been providing a little too much info. First, we saw the Dark Souls pre-order information last week, then just yesterday, they spilled the beans on the Doom pre-order bonuses. Both pages were pulled shortly after they went up, making us wait for an official announcement.

Square Enix to bring diorama-esque Hitman Go to PC, PS4, Vita

For gamers, the Hitman franchise has always been about stealthily killing your adversaries and targets. Usually, these types of games took on a real-time first person perspective to add to the atmosphere of an anxiety and excitement. But in early 2014, Square Enix turned what was then its newest Hitman title on its head and slapped it on what is best described as a pretty board game. Perhaps riding on the fanfare surrounding the upcoming Hitman title, the game publisher will be taking Hitman GO from mobile to your PC and favorite console or handheld.

PS4’s most disappointing launch title seems to be getting a sequel

Back when the PlayStation 4 launched in 2013, one of the biggest first-party games from Sony was Knack, a 3D platformer/beat 'em up from in-house developer Japan Studio. The game wasn't terrible, but it turned out be another example of a mediocre launch title, getting mostly lukewarm reviews from critics. Despite all this, some evidence has come to light that indicates Sony currently has Knack 2 in development.

The Division gets big updates ahead of open beta

When a game gets a closed beta just a month before it's ready to be released, people often wonder just how much can be changed in that time. Such is the case with Tom Clancy's The Division. The game had a weekend-long closed beta at the end of last month. There's an open beta coming, and along with it, a surprising number of changes.

Metal Gear Solid V multiplayer DLC detailed, dated

Metal Gear Solid V multiplayer DLC detailed, dated

Konami's Metal Gear Solid V debuted last fall, and while it was a big hit among critics and fans, there's been little in the form of new content since then. Players who enjoy the game's multiplayer component, called Metal Gear Online, will be happy to finally hear about an upcoming expansion that will introduce new maps, a new playable character, and even a new game mode. One of the best parts is that the DLC, titled "Cloaked in Silence," is even coming to the older-gen consoles alongside the PS4 and Xbox One.

Fallout 4 ramen is real, for some reason

Fallout 4 ramen is real, for some reason

Since Fallout 4 was announced, we've seen some pretty strange tie-in products. The first was Fallout Shelter, a very unexpected iOS game. It wasn't so much strange as it was simply surprising (and fun!). Then came things like an official Nuka Cola, which was a fun (if hard to find) product. However, the weirdest tie-in was the Fallout Beer. However, that title is about to be passed on, thanks to something that Bethesda has started sending out.

Screencheat wants you to cheat on Xbox One and PS4 next month

GoldenEye was the first console FPS that I ever played with friends. And by friends, I mean two friends and that one jerk that still picks Oddjob, even though we clearly stated “no Oddjob.” This was also the first time I encountered screen cheating.
