We've been expecting a confirmation from Sony regarding the rumored 4K "Neo" PlayStation. However, Sony has decided to surprise fans, though it might not necessarily be a good thing.

World of Final Fantasy brings cute to PS4, Vita in October

World of Final Fantasy brings cute to PS4, Vita in October

The Final Fantasy series is popular mostly for its gripping story lines and memorable characters, no matter the visual form they come in. Whether it be the small, pixelated graphics of NES/SNES titles, the blocky 3D bodies of Final Fantasy VII, or the near realistic visuals of more recent installments, fans have flocked to Final Fantasy titles no matter what. Square Enix is probably banking on that loyalty when it launches "World of Final Fantasy", which will almost be hard to take seriously because of how adorable the characters look.

Final Fantasy XII remaster brings Zodiac jobs to PS4 next year

Final Fantasy XII remaster brings Zodiac jobs to PS4 next year

Not all Final Fantasy titles are created equal. Some, like Final Fantasy VII and its characters, are forever memorialized in gaming history. The pre-VII titles, while pixelated by today's standards, also enjoy renown, especially among veterans. Final Fantasy XII might not exactly be one of the best, though it certainly won many accolades, but it will, perhaps, be more remembered for the many gameplay changes, some of which found their way to later titles. PlayStation 4 owners will soon be able to experience those when the "Final Fantasy XII The Zodiac Age" lands on the console in 2017, with that so-called Zodiac Job System in tow.

The time is right for Xbox One and PS4 cross-play

Not long after Microsoft and Sony released their latest consoles, South Park did three episodes centered around the consoles (and they were a great parody on Game of Thrones, to boot). The episodes touched on a problem that gamers have faced since online gaming took off during the previous console generation. Namely, the decision of which popular console to choose.

Overwatch may let PS4 and Xbox One gamers play together in the future

Last month, Rocket League became one of the few games that allows gamers to play online with their friends, even if they're on different platforms. The developer, Psyonix, wanted the game to be as accessible as possible, and since a mouse and keyboard doesn't offer an edge against a controller, it was a no-brainer. When that happened, many people have started wondering if other games would soon follow suit.

Fallout 4: Far Harbor DLC update addresses poor PS4 performance

Fallout 4's first major expansion, Far Harbor, has been out for a few weeks now, and while the DLC has been mostly well received among the game's fans, players on the PlayStation 4 have had to deal with some serious problems. It turns out that the dense fog that covers the huge new environment causes the PS4 version to suffer frame-rate issues and even crash under certain circumstances. Fortunately developer Bethesda has just made a fix available that sets things right.
