In a bit of timing which can only be described as a home run, Disney has revealed the next Marvel Super Heroes to be coming to the Disney Infinity universe in the "2.0 Edition" release. This game and environment will be coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and Xbox 360 this Fall.
It’s time to head back to the original scare-fest with Resident Evil HD - or whatever they end up calling it. The folks at Capcom responsible for letting the world know that Resident Evil’s 2002 remake is going to come to the future in a variety of release modes have given very little information to the public - but we’ve got what you seek.
For those of us who enjoy thrills of a darker nature, it never seems like there are enough satisfactory horror games on the market. Often times, when a horror-centric game does arrive, it proves derivative or lackluster, much like their movie counterparts. That's not to say the genre is hopeless, however, and there are several titles coming up in the near future that promise brig things for gamers.
This review is going to be short for one reason, and one reason only: there’s not much to say. PlayStation Now works, and it works great, but until its pricing model is changed to be more like Netflix, I can’t imagine Sony having a massive amount of success with it. Not because it’s not worth the price, mind you.
The folks at Crytek UK have sold the rights to the gaming franchise Homefront to Deep Silver. This means big things for the series, but suggests the current title "Homefront: The Revolution" may be in flux. We recently saw some (rather impressive looking) trailer work earlier this year on the game - it’d be a darn shame if it never got made.
The console war between Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft isn't only about putting powerful gaming machines in the market but pushing the focus at all-in-one entertainment system. While PS4 games are in Blu-ray format, it was unable to do 3D playback on the newest Sony console - to fix that Sony has made PS4 update 1.75 update available to gamers today. In this latest update, the most notable feature is 3D Blu-ray movie playback support.
This week we’re to understand - straight from the source - that the Batman 3 LEGO game will be rolling out with none other than Adam West. The original king of camp will be lending his voice to "Classic Batman" - though it’s not quite clear yet if Classic Batman is the same character as "1960’s Batman."
At the dawn of SDCC we’re seeing a set of short interviews - that may turn into long interviews - of the original ALIEN cast for the game Alien: Isolation. As we learned earlier this month, there’s a segment of the game in which the original cast returns, voices, likenesses and all. To add an additional dash of legitimacy to this venture, the cast has been brought in to speak of the power of video games.
It's time to play spot the difference again! Destiny started its public beta phase last week and, naturally, current gen console gamers have jumped in on the action, both in real life and in-game. However, last gen owners weren't exactly left out of the fun, but how much are they missing by playing on boxes that are so last decade? Digital Foundry and NeoGAF dig in to find out and apparently, it's not much. That is, if you don't mind lower res, blurrier objects.
