Uncharted 4 gets open multiplayer beta this weekend, yet another release delay

While much of hype surrounding the upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive Uncharted 4: A Thief's End lately has been around the title's story, the game is also set to include an in-depth multiplayer mode. While a closed beta for the competitive modes was held back in December, Sony has revealed players around the world are invited to take part in another test period this weekend. Unfortunately, the bad news is that Uncharted 4's release date has been pushed back a few weeks, making it the latest in a number of delays for the game.

Print your own Firewatch map, just like the good old days

Print your own Firewatch map, just like the good old days

Remember the old days of gaming, when you actually got an instruction manual with your purchase? Sometimes, games with particularly large open worlds would come with their own physical map. You'd unfold it, and try to get all of the creases out before hanging it on your bedroom wall where you could reference it. Well, one developer wanted to give fans that same experience, despite offering the game digitally.

Sony announces PS4 update with remote play for PC and Mac, beta starts soon

As time goes on, gamers are slowly getting the ability to play their games where and how they want. Currently, Xbox One owners can play their games on their TV, or they can boot up a computer somewhere in the house and stream their favorite games to their desktop or laptop. PS4 owners haven't been able to enjoy this particular feature. But soon, that will be changing.

The Division won’t have microtransactions, except it will

The Division won’t have microtransactions, except it will

I'm pretty excited for Tom Clancy's The Division. I was cautiously excited until the beta, where my brother and I spent a good while mowing down enemies together. While it wasn't a perfect experience, it had all of the elements that I was looking for in a co-op MMORPG shooter. One of the biggest things I've been wondering is whether or not the game would have microtransactions, which can ruin any gaming experience.

Sony patent reveals PowerGlove-like VR gaming controller

You're not going to believe this, but the Power Glove — Nintendo's awful, wearable game controller released in 1989 — could be coming back, at least in spirit, and from Sony. Several patents have been discovered by a NeoGAF user that reveal the PlayStation maker is looking into a glove-based controller to be used with virtual reality gaming experiences. Not only would it allow hand movement tracking, but the ability to physically interact with items in a VR world.

Capcom looks to punish Street Fighter V players that quit matches early

If you've ever played any kind of competitive game online, like a FPS or fighting game, you're probably familiar with the "rage quit." It's when someone is so frustrated at being beaten by their opponent (usually by a wide margin), or they've been on a losing streak and just can't take another loss, so they quit the match instead of see it to the end. Turns out the newly launched Street Fighter V has a problem with players rage-quitting, and developer Capcom is asking for help in handling the situation.

Here are the first new Shenmue 3 screenshots

Remember Shenmue 3? The game that was seemingly announced out of nowhere at E3 last year and went on to smash a number of Kickstarter records with its crowdfunding campaign? Well, creator Yu Suzuki has taken a break to step out and prove that work is still progressing on the $6.3 million-funded project with a handful of new screenshots. Suzuki and his team were present at the Monaco Anime Game International Conferences (MAGIC) event in, well, Monaco, today to give a presentation.

Want your own Dark Souls Estus Flask? Here’s what you have to buy

When big games are released, the publisher will often make some sort of "deluxe" or "collector's" edition available. When you cough up the dough for this special edition of the game, you'll get things like art books, music, and maybe some kind of cool collectible. Dark Souls III is no different, however, this is one of the first times I can recall a game getting a special version of a strategy guide with similar bonuses.

Here’s your Fallout 4 Survival Mode guide

Kids these days have it so easy. Back in my day, we played games like Battletoads and Karate Kid, and spent countless hours just trying to get back to the spot where we kept dying. Now they've got quick saves, difficulty levels, and the internet to help guide you through any game you'd like. But Bethesda wants to make Fallout 4 hard enough to satisfy even the most masochistic of gamers.

Uncharted 4 trailer caught using Assassin’s Creed artwork, dev apologizes

Uncharted 4 trailer caught using Assassin’s Creed artwork, dev apologizes

Yesterday saw Sony and game developer Naughty Dog drop an impressive new story trailer for the upcoming Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. However, some eagle-eyed viewers noticed a piece of in-game artwork in the video that didn't belong. As in, it was artwork from a completely different game, by a different company, to be specific. A scene in the trailer showed a framed painting on the wall, which turned out to be a piece of concept art from Ubisoft's Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag.
