Sony has confirmed that its nasne networked PVR has been delayed, blaming unexpected damage to internal components and a shortfall in quality inspections at the factory. nasne, which can stream live TV and recorded content from its integrated tuners and 500GB hard-drive to the PS3 and other hardware, was expected to go on sale this Thursday in Japan, but Sony now says there will be a postponement of unspecified length. Nissan GT Academy final 16 get ready to race for real

We mentioned back in early May that the Gran Turismo GT Academy 2012 had kicked off. The top 32 drivers, out of roughly 400,000 Gran Turismo 5 racers, met in San Diego to whittle that 32-driver field down to the final 16. Ratchet & Clank Collection shipping August 28

The 1080p remaster of the classic games that put Insomniac Games on the map will be available on the PS3 on August 28. The collection will include all three Ratchet & Clank games from the PS2, available in full 1080p HD support, or 720p 3D support for those with the equipment to take their game to the next dimension. In addition to a complete remastering of the graphics, the games have added trophy support. And, where applicable, online multiplayer has been recreated to function with the Playstation Network. Sony has announced an incoming media-centric update to the PlayStation 3, bringing the console up to speed for the new nasne networked recorder and NAS. Revealed back in April, nasne will hit Japanese shelves on July 19 along with system software update v1.5, allowing the PS3 to stream live and recorded content from the STB to their console, and introducing smartphone browser support for remote control.
