Sony has announced that some long desired new apps for the portable game console are now available with some others coming later this spring. One of the new apps that has hit the console today will have animie fans very excited.
In a bit of a surprise announcement this afternoon, Sony has made clear that Jack Tretton will be stepping down from his role as President and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment America. As of March 31st, 2014, SCEA will have a new President and CEO, as the company and Tretton have made a "mutual agreement" to "not renew their contractual relationship."

Sony will launch its redesigned PS Vita in the US and Canada this spring, the company has confirmed, as part of a Borderlands 2 bundle. The release - which will see the redesigned handheld offered at $199 - was confirmed during a Sony event today in Los Angeles, alongside launch dates for God of War Collection on PS Vita, which will drop on May 6th.

This week the folks at Unity have let it be known that their Unity 4.3 build is out for the PlayStation Vita, a device that will now be able to work with a number of abilities in cross-platform gaming. There's a new PS Vita devkit being released for developers for this platform, allowing them to quickly integrate the games they've already made - or are making - into the Unity universe, therefor allowing them to be played on the PS Vita easily.
