Not too long ago there were few 3D projectors on the market and those that were on the market didn’t usually offer 1080p resolution. The market is quickly changing though and now there are a bunch of new projectors coming that will do both 1080p resolution and 3D content at a nice price point. One of those projects is the new Vivitek H1086-3D. The projector has a bunch of nice features and can change 2D content into 3D content on the fly.

Epson launches new 2D and 3D projectors for Home Theaters at CEDIA
CEDIA is one of the most overlooked tech shows out there I think. Each year the show takes place and I usually forget about it. This is the show where a ton of home theater gear is unveiled for the first time. Epson is at CEDIA 2011 and has unveiled several new projectors for home theater and custom installers that have some very nice features. The projectors include the Pro Cinema 6010, Home Cinema 5010/5010e, and the Home Cinema 3010/3010e. All of the projectors use 3LCD tech.

Sony VPL-VW1000ES Full 4K projector targets your lounge
Sony has outed its latest projector, the VPL-VW1000ES, and with it a push to get Full 4K resolution video into the home. The company's latest flagship, the VPL-VW1000ES runs at a whopping 4096 x 2160 resolution and at 2,000 ANSI lumens, making it four times the resolution and almost twice as bright as Sony's previous 1080p home projectors, as well as capable of a 200-inch image.

Panasonic PT-AR100U projector boasts intelligent Full HD
Panasonic has outed its latest home cinema projector, the PT-AR100U, a Full HD model targeting movie, sports and gaming enthusiasts. Boosting brightness to 2,800 lumens - and comfortably exceeding its predecessor, the PT-AE4000U, in the process - the AR100U offers a 50,000:1 contrast ratio and uses various ambient light and color sensors along with its Light Harmonizer 3 processing engine to automatically tweak the picture to suit the room.

Apple Patent App Reveals Integrated Projectors For Future iPhones, iPads, And More
A new Apple patent application that surfaced today reveals that the company is getting serious with its plans to integrate pico projectors into their future devices. The documents show that the tiny projectors would be implemented in next-gen iPhones, iPads, and iPod touch devices as well as in what looks to be an accessory for Apple's laptops.

Light Blue Optics touch interface pico projector hits FCC
If you have been reading SlashGear for a while, you might recognize the Light Blue Optics tech that has just crossed the FCC. We have talked about the projector and its touch interface in the past. The Light Blue Optics turned up back at CES in 2010 as an interesting device that turned any flat surface into a color touchscreen. The tech turned up again later in January 2010 we saw the device demonstrated in a room with ambient light.

Vivitek Qumi HD LED projector ships
Vivitek has announced that it is finally shipping its interesting little Qumi HD and 3D ready pocket projectors. The projectors were originally pegged to ship last month, but that never happened. The Qumi projector is available right now for $499 online and in retail stores. The Qumi should be very portable with a weight of 1.4 pounds and it is the first 3D ready pocket projector.

Acer outs H9500 DLP home theater video projector
The last time we talked about a new projector from Acer was back in February when the P5403 debuted. Acer is back with another new projector today called the H9500. The projector is suitable for use in your home theater and has full HD resolution with a 16:9 native aspect ratio. Acer packs the projector with tech to improve image quality. Panasonic PT-LB3U micro-portable projector debuts
Panasonic has unveiled a new projector that is in its business and education line. The new projector is called the PT-LB3U and has a resolution of 1024 x 768. The projector is made to be small and compact so it takes up less space in a crowded office or classroom. Despite the smaller size of the projector, it has 3,200 lumens of brightness and uses a new lamp drive system. That lamp drive system allows the lamp to last up to 5,000 hours.
