Casio has rolled out a new projector that is aimed at the education market where short throw projectors are the standard. Casio's new offering can certainly be used in other markets if desired. The projector is called the XJ-UT301WN and it is billed as the world's brightest LampFree Ultra Short Throw projector. Native resolution is 1280 x 800 and it has an aspect ratio of 16:10.
NEC has rolled out a new portable LED projector designed to be compact enough to take on the road that also has impressive brightness. Often when a projector is made with an eye towards portability using LEDs, it's not a very bright unit and requires a very dark room to work well. NEC's new L102W portable projector is bright and uses long lasting LEDs rather than a traditional bulb.

Favi has unveiled a new version if its pico projector called the Favi Pico+. The Pico projector supports Miracast and Airplay wireless playback. The little pocket projector is very small, but can throw an image up to 100-inches in size. The projector is about the size of a smartphone.

Epson has rolled out a new line of projectors that aim at business users that are shopping on a budget. The projectors include the VS230, VS330, and VS335W and they start at under $400 making them inexpensive. The VS-series projectors share many common features and vary in resolution and brightness ratings.
NEC has announced a new digital cinema projector that uses a laser light source rather than a traditional lightbulb. The projector is called the NC1100L Digital Cinema projector and it's aimed at art houses, mobile cinemas, University theaters, and public buildings. NEC says that the laser light source is able to deliver 2K DCI-compliant cinema quality video.
Sony unveiled new 4K home theater projectors at CEDIA this week that offer high resolutions and are aimed at custom installers. The projectors include the Sony VPL-VW1100ES and Sony VPL-VW600ES. The VW1100ES home theater projector supports 4K images and comes bundled with several other Sony products allowing users to take advantage of 4K viewing in home right now.
