Porsche 911 GT3 R Hybrid Steering Wheel is packed with buttons

Porsche 911 GT3 R Hybrid Steering Wheel is packed with buttons

Hybrid cars are all fine and good with increased efficiency and fuel economy. I am a auto enthusiast though and I really want performance more than I want efficiency. It was really cool to me to see sports cars start to turn up over the last year or so with hybrid systems in place that act sort of like the boost from video games to give the cars a burst of speed when needed. Porsche uses this sort of system on its awesome 911 GT3 R Hybrid racecar.

Green Porsche Cayenne S hybrid gets federal tax credit

When it comes to green cars, a few names jump right to mind like Toyota with its Prius and GM with the Volt. One name that most of us don’t associate with green cars is Porsche. I tend to think of Porsche as a performance brand, and it is. The company is famous for its fleet of exotic and high-end performance vehicles like the 911 and others.

The Daily Slash: November 17 2010

It's a day full of fun, in the USA at least, so much of it I can barely contain my joy for it all! Two more Samsung Galaxy Tabs available, one from Costco, the other from Bell. LG announces a new phone by the name of APEX, and Giorgio Armani releases their very own Samsung Galaxy S. Evan's "Week with the HTC HD7" continues with "the Apps," Don decides on Vizio, and Phillip marks the recession of the Social Tide with one big delete button. All this and MORE on The Daily Slash!

Porsche-designed Sagem P’9521 cellphone – hefty in build and price

Porsche-designed Sagem P’9521 cellphone – hefty in build and price

With my addiction to candy shoelaces I can't afford a pair of toffee shoes to go with them, never mind a Porsche, but that iconic brand name could be within even my reach once Sagem's P'9521 cellphone, designed by the car company, goes on sale.  Crave UK took to the wheel (metaphorically speaking) and came away reasonably impressed: the fingerprint reader beneath the screen also works as a handy scroll, there's a 3.2-megapixel camera and you can rotate the top section around to hold it in a more traditional camera fashion.

This phone looks kind of retro cool, but I don’t get where the Porsche name comes in. It has a 2.2-inch active-matrix organic LED touchscreen on the inside which is pretty cool.

There is a 3.2MP cam built into the back of the phone, which appears to have either 2 LED lights or two flash bulbs or a combination of the two. The camera also has auto focus and digital zoom.

Racing gear for PS3 from Porsche

Racing gear for PS3 from Porsche

Ever wanted to drive a Porsche? Still working a 9-5 with no chance of making enough to afford one? Well now you can come close with some officially licensed reproduction gaming controls for your PS3.

The set is all wireless and comes with a steering wheel, set of pedals, gear shifter, and USB dongle all officially licensed from Porsche with logos on the USB dongle and steering wheel. Really it looks pretty nice, and may well be worth it cost.
