Pokemon Sun and Moon, which starter should you choose?

If you haven’t heard by now, Nintendo has recently released images of the new starter Pokémon for its new Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon set to release in November of this year and the news has taken the internet by storm. The reason why? They’re all unbelievably cute that it’s hard to choose between them! Whereas most years there’s always been a clear winner that won everyone’s heart, this year there is no clear winner. Well, there is a clear loser.

Pokemon GO field test finally arrives in the US

It will probably still be a long time (maybe never) before we can actually start seeing virtual Pokemon with our smart glasses or smart contact lenses and throwing virtual Pokeballs with our smart gloves. For now, we'll have to make do with our smartphones and a bit of augmented reality magic. Even then, it's still a long wait for Pokefans all over the world, but if you happen to be in the US, your wait might be over. No, Pokemon GO isn't launching yet, but it is finally opening its field test in the US.

Pokemon GO will also test your aiming skills

Pokemon GO will also test your aiming skills

The Pokemon Company and Niantic Labs may have an NDA in place that could ban you for leaking out screenshots and videos of its highly hyped Pokemon GO mobile game, but that hasn't stopped daring players from doing it anyway. Take for example this latest leak that shows off not just a quick glimpse but a full bloody 8 minutes of in-game footage. While much of the games' mechanics are known at this point, the video does underscore how you won't need to have a good throwing arm to catch a Pokemon. You just need good aim. And, of course, luck.

Nintendo should adopt The Pokemon Company’s attitude toward mobile devices

Did you know that there's going to be an augmented reality Pokemon game launched this summer? It's going to be huge. Nintendo doesn't want to let their most lucrative characters and games to be released as-is on mobile devices - not unless they're being manufactured by Nintendo. Nintendo doesn't own Pokemon. The Pokemon Company owns Pokemon. The Pokemon Company has the opportunity to show Nintendo what they've got waiting for them if they open their doors to 3rd-party device game and app releases.

Pokemon GO Beta testing is expanding this week

While the first wave of Field Testing for the augmented reality game Pokemon GO started in Japan, two new countries have been added to the fold. This is the first time the Pokemon GO universe has expanded beyond the East, now headed into Europe and - we hope - into the United States sooner than later. We'd been told by sources close to the project (who wished to remain anonymous) that the game was being tested by Google/The Pokemon Company with virtual reality/augmented reality abilities. Now we've seen the code.

Pokemon GO field test goes live in Japan, screens and video leak

For Pokemon fans, Pokemon GO might yet be the most exciting incarnation of the title yet. Although it will hardly match up to imagination or even the anime series, it will be the closest you'll be able to get to the real thing until the day technology catches up with fantasy. The field test in Japan has gone live, meaning invites and APKs have rolled out to the selected few. And, braving the threat of the banhammer, some of those have leaked out screenshots of the app's interface as well as a video of the game's first few moments.
