Nintendo’s first mobile game isn’t the NES you were wishing for

Nintendo’s first mobile game isn’t the NES you were wishing for

The folks at Nintendo have finally given in to the dark side, creating a mobile app/game for iOS and Android devices. This game does not feature Mario, nor is it about any sort of Zelda-type adventure. It does not allow you to play Starfox, nor will you be jumping around in Donkey Kong country. Instead, this update will br bringing Miitomo to your mobile. You'll be running around with your Mii character, and your Mii character will give you the side eye until you buy a Nintendo machine (unofficially, of course).

Pokemon fighting game Pokken Tournament is getting an official Wii U controller

The controller you see in the image above may not look like it, but it's actually for the Wii U. The thing is, it's meant to be used with one game in particular: Pokken Tournament, the Pokemon arcade fighting game that is headed to Nintendo's home console next year. It's a wired controller and is notably missing any analog sticks, but those are unnecessary when it comes to dedicated fighting game fans, who prize smooth directional pads and zero latency button presses above all else.

In its latest Nintendo Direct presentation, its first since the passing of the late Satoru Iwata , the gaming company giant laid out its future in the next few months all the way to 2016. At least as far as its games are concerned. There is sadly no hint or even foreshadowing of its long rumored and speculated NX console. But with the extensive lost of games coming our way, some gamers might be distracted for a while, with a variety of games that contain surprise appearances of old school pocket monsters, a gender bender green clad elf hero, and the long awaited return of a space fox.
