PNY has been selling NVIDA branded video cards for a long time now. The company started out years ago and has offered a video card with each new GPU that NVIDIA has launched. Generally, the video cards are not the high-end overclocked offerings if they have the PNY name on them. They tend to be stock cards. PNY has announced a new video card that has a really cool feature.

The video card has a liquid cooling system that helps to keep the GPU cooler. The card has a fan as well and the liquid cooling system is for extra cooling. PNY even extended the liquid cooling circuit and allows the system to chill the CPU as well in one version of the card. The liquid cooling system the card uses is powered by Asetek. Asetek hardware is found inside a bunch of different computers that use liquid cooling.

The video card has a pair of liquid cooled pipes that take the heat away from the GPU. The card promises to be 30% cooler and quieter than the original GTX 580 video card. The card supports all the tech that new NVIDIA card offer like 3D gaming, PhysX and CUDA. If you want a quiet, but powerful gaming machine this may be the video card you need. The card with CPU cooling sells for $649.99 and the card with GPU cooling alone sells for $579.99. PNY doesn’t mention clock speeds for the video card meaning it must use stock reference clocks.

Yesterday marked the official launch of the NVIDIA GTX 570 video card line. The launch means that hoards of cards were landing on the market and for most of them the only thing that separates them from each other is the name stamped on the box and the game and software bundle that the cards ship with. PNY has unveiled its GTX 570 and gamers that are fans of the StarCraft series may like the bundle.

The PNY card carries the MSRP that NVIDIA suggest selling for $379.99. For that much loot, you get the standard clock speeds and features with 1280MB of GDDR5 RAM, a 732MHz core clock, and a 1464MHz processor clock. The card has 480 processing cores and a texture fill rate of 43.9 billion/sec. The card supports all of those NVIDIA features like 3D Vision PhysX and SLI as well. The bundle the card ships with includes a trial version of version of StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty.

That’s not very good and this is the first time I have seen a video card come with a trial version of a game. Typically, a game bundled with a new video card is the full version. You do get a full-length movie download though from Sony with the purchase with a bunch of choice like Big Daddy and more. A special limited edition version of the card sounds much better, assuming you want HDMI Mini. This card comes with the HDMI cable and a full version of HAWX2.

It has been a while since I heard anything out of PNY and the company is back today with a new video card. PNY has added a version of the NVIDIA GTX 465 (PDF) to its line based on the Fermi architecture for gamers to take advantage of. The card has a native mini-HDMI port making it easy to connect to a big screen HDTV.

The video card has 1024MB of GDDR5 RAM and the core clock is 607MHz. PNY clocks the shaders at 1215MHz and the card has 352 shader cores. The GDDR5 RAM gives the card 102.6GB/s of memory bandwidth.

The texture fill rate for the card is 26.7 billion per second and the effective memory data rate is 3206MHZ. The best news about the GTX 465 is that it’s cheap with a MSRP of $279.99 making it the lowest cost offering in the Fermi based line from NVIDIA. PNY is also bundling a pair of full-length movie downloads with its card with options including The Da Vinci Code, Hitch, Big Daddy, As Good As It Gets, 21 and S.W.A.T.

This has to be one of the most random things I’ve ever seen. But if you think about it, it’s really not all that bad of an idea. If you need a flash drive, why not opt for this 2GB one from PNY that comes with Ghostbusters pre-loaded on the device? I am not kidding.

For starters, who doesn’t like Ghostbusters? And second, I’m not sure why anyone hasn’t thought of this sooner. Sure, a movie on a flash drive is a bit counterintuitive, especially when many movies on DVD and Blu-ray these days offer digital copies of the films on the disc. But when something is cool, it doesn’t need sound reason. I guess.

Besides, the awesomeness that is the movie, my only real complaint is that the flash drive’s casing sports no Ghostbusters insignia. Where’s the movie logo? Or better yet, the Stay Puft marshmallow man? No word on pricing yet, but it’s definitely a different approach to portable storage and movie delivery.

This new flash drive from PNY doesn’t have any special technical features, it packs in your choice of two or four gigabytes of storage and is built in such a way that when closed the USB port is protected. What it does have is a bit of fashionable appeal attached to it due to its design, shape, and color allowing it to be an attractive storage option to all the ladies out there who prefer attractive gadgets.

The flash drive is thin, slim, and roughly the size of a lipstick, or smaller, and has a fashionable design involving flowers and some other junk. With this flash drive you can store a whole heap of music, photos, movies, and even the ever important digital rolodex.

Other possibilities include homework, work documents, and username and password information in case you can’t be bothered to memorize such things. However there is no security on the drive, so be careful what you stick on this thing. Apparently this drive will be selling for roughly $60, for the 4GB version, no word on the 2GB version and it doesn’t appear as though either are actually for sale yet.
