Casio's concept GPS-enabled camera, shown at CES 2010 last month, has been given a release schedule and estimated price tag.  Photography Bay have been pestering Casio for details at PMA 2010, and the company have confirmed that the Casio EX-10HG is expected to go on sale in October this year, costing around $400.

Sony compact Alpha DSLR concept test-bed for new snap-on lens system?

Sony's new concept "interchangeable lens compact camera" for PMA 2010 this week may be catching glances for its small body size and possible indication that the company are planning a jump into the Micro Four Thirds market, but according to Amateur Photographer the really interesting part might be the lens mount itself.  They were closely watching Masashi Imamura, Sony's President of Personal Imaging and Sound Business Group at the company's press launch, and he removed the re-attached the concept Alpha DSLR's lens with none of the usual twisting.

Samsung HMX-U20 and U15 Full HD point-&-shoot camcorders

It's not all still cameras in Samsung's PMA 2010 range; the company have also brought along a pair of new ultra-compact HD camcorders, the HMX-U20 and HMX-U15.  Both support 1920 x 1080 Full HD video recording, and have integrated HDMI and USB connectivity; the U15 can also shoot 8- and 10-megapixel stills and has auto-focus, while the U20 can grab 14-megapixel stills and has a 3x optical zoom.

Samsung AQ100 waterproof & SL605 durable cameras announced

As well as the somewhat sober looking TL500 and TL350, Samsung have also brought along a batch of more colorful compact cameras to PMA 2010.  The Samsung AQ100 is a waterproof shooter while the Samsung SL605 is a so-called durable one, each packing 12-megapixel sensors along with 5x optical zooms and 2.7-inch LCD TFT preview displays.

Samsung TL500 and TL350 hit PMA 2010

Samsung have announced two new cameras in their TL-series, the TL500 with a 10-megapixel sensor, F/1.8 ultra-wide lens and 3-inch swivelling, rotating AMOLED preview screen, and the TL350 with a 10.2-megapixel sensor, 5x optical zoom and 3-inch fixed AMOLED display.  Both cameras - fresh to PMA 2010 this week - pair optical and digital image stabilization, and the TL350 can shoot 1080p HD video and output it via HDMI.

Sony PMA 2010 Alpha concepts outed

Sony have brought along a raft of concept cameras to PMA 2010 this week, including a new hybrid - in the manner of Micro Four Thirds shooters - that has a CyberShot-sized body but interchangeable lenses, an Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor and full AVCHD video recording.  They're also showing off a mid-range concept replacement for the α700 together with several new lenses including a Super Telephoto Lens (500mm F4 G).

Ricoh CX3 arrives for PMA 2010 with back-illuminated CMOS

Ricoh have outed a new digital camera in time for PMA 2010, the Ricoh CX3.  The 10-megapixel CX3 may not be overspilling with pixels, but it does use a back illuminated CMOS sensor which adds up to reduced noise in the end-image.  There's also a 10.7x optical zoom - equivalent to 28-300mm - and a 3-inch LCD preview display, as well as 720p HD video recording.
