We’ve seen the pale color infect just about every gadget known to man, and now the PlayStation Vita will be the latest to be blessed with an all white exterior. For now it seems to be heading just to Japan, and you can expect to pay a pretty penny for the privilege. PlayStation partners with Major League Gaming

Sony's PlayStation division will be partnering with the leader in competitive gaming for a new round of video game battling platform known as the MLG Spring Fighting Arena. Claiming that there are "thousands of dollars on the line," Sony said the PS3 will be the official console used in the new Major League Gaming battle royales. At the time, the game hadn't been officially announced, but that has changed now with the official announcement that the game is in the works. Sony has released the PlayStation Suite Developer Program open beta, as promised, enabling coders to create games for the PS Vita, PlayStation-certified phones and tablets, and more. Available for PC only, the PlayStation Suite SDK 0.98 includes the PC Suite Studio and UI Composer for creating interfaces that take advantage of physical and touchscreen controls, as well as a simulator for testing out your handiwork. Details on the processing specs of Sony's PlayStation 3 successor, rumored to be codenamed Orbis, have been leaked by IGN, citing sources familiar with the company's plans. The custom chips to be used in the next-gen console are based on AMD's A8-3850 APU and Radeon HD 7670 GPU, combining the performance of both integrated and discrete graphics processors. E3 to reveal PlayStation 4 ‘same day’ as Xbox 720

This week we've got several sources speaking on what will be happening later this year when the two titans of console: Sony and Microsoft, go head to head with reveals of their next-generation gaming systems. One source speaking with vg247 this morning about the situation is noting that fans "should be watching the timing of next year’s E3 keynotes, and who’s going to go first.” Meanwhile our own source corroborates this possibility saying that the keynotes revealing these next two systems "may be happening on the same day."
