According to Michael Ephraim, managing director of Sony Australia, The Playstation 3 is king in the console wars, as least in Australia. Here is a riveting statement from him regarding its booming sales. “”PS3…outselling Wii and Xbox 360 every week, except for last week.”
If you haven’t heard, the upcoming Manhunt 2 title from Rockstar has been given an “Adults Only” rating by the MSRB. The game has been under much scrutiny, and even banned from being sold in the UK and Ireland.
The PS3 has officially been launched in Korea. What is crazy is that for some reason Sony felt the need to give them more machine for less money.
Time and again, we hear news about a possible price drop for the PS3. Why do we keep hearing about it? Because that’s what the people want. Has Sony finally come to their senses and decided to drop the price? Not just yet.
Will Sony drop the price on the PS3? With the lower production costs, I don’t see why they wouldn’t. I’m sure that with a nice little price cut that people would be more eager to purchase one.
So we know that Sony will be releasing their 80GB PS3 in Korea starting in June, but the big question is whether or not they will release the larger version here in the US, or in other locations for that matter. Yesterday a Sony official spoke on that subject.

When you upgrade to a new gaming console, it’s hard to justify keeping the previous-generation model around.
