Grand Theft Auto V FPS release coming to PC, PS4, Xbox One

There's little doubt now that the creators of Grand Theft Auto 5 were influenced by the early versions of the first person shooter mode modification to their game released earlier this year. What better way to experience the madness than from behind the drivers seat - while walking around? Each of the three main players of the game are given their own first-person perspective, making this a... transforming FPS? All will be revealed soon, and very soon - just as soon as RockStar deems the world worthy, it would seem.

PlayStation 4 software update 2.0 arrives October 28

The past couple of weeks have been a blur of game console updates and pre-update details, with the Xbox One October update having started rolling out on October 15, and PlayStation having followed closely behind it with details about its own users can expect in the 2.0 update. While Sony did detail the goods last week, in terms of features and improvements, it didn't say when PlayStation 4 users could expect to see the update, which makes it hard to be anticipatory.

Project CARS delayed until March to avoid holiday season

Project CARS delayed until March to avoid holiday season

In a move that most major game studios would consider madness, the team at Slightly Mad Studios have delayed their game well past the end-of-year holiday season. Instead of releasing the game when everyone is buying massive amounts of gifts for their gift-giving friends, children, and associates, this game will be delayed. No longer a November 18th, 2014 release, Project CARS will be released on the 17th of March, 2015. While Slightly Mad Studios suggests it's not only because of the holiday season schedules of other major studios that they've moved, that certainly is part of it.

Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition Review

Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition Review

This release of Sleeping Dogs is the big-time re-up the game needed for the current generation of consoles: Xbox One and PlayStation 4. It still doesn’t look as fantastic as it does when you’re topped-out on a high-end PC, but Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition never looked better on a console. This game was fun and entertaining in an evolved old-school way when it was first released, and it’s all the more entertaining now.

Assassin’s Creed Unity bundles and Rogue Storyline trailer tapped

This morning we’re having a peek at several different angles on Assassin’s Creed Unity - product, storyline, and gameplay. While we got our Assassin’s Creed: Unity First-Impressions in on the 6th, one week ago, we’re having another look at the game from a final release schedule perspective today. It begins with bundles - two of them, both with the Xbox One. We can't help but wonder how long it'll be before the PlayStation 4 bundles arrive (if they exist, that is to say) - without camera, of course.

PlayStation Experience is an event for the community

Sony's PlayStation events are always fun, but you may not have been able to attend one yet. If that is the case, you are in luck: Sony has announced an upcoming event that will last for two days and that is specifically for its gaming community. Is Xbox One’s Kinect dead?

Is Xbox One’s Kinect dead?

Earlier this year Microsoft revealed their response to the $100-cheaper PlayStation 4 in the form of an Xbox One without the Kinect. Previous to this reveal of the $399 Kinect-less Xbox One, there’d only been the Xbox One with Kinect, now called a "bundle", that was $499. Microsoft reported in July that their June Xbox One console sales had "more than doubled" due to the new standard sans-Kinect release. Fast-forward to October of 2014 - right now, that is - and that Kinect "bundle" might be on its way out the door completely.
