PopCap reportedly working on triple-A console title

Here's something that's pretty interesting: PopCap, developer of such casual gaming hits as Bejeweled, Plants vs. Zombies, and Peggle, might be working on a triple-A console title based on DICE's Frostbite 2.0 engine. Yes, that's the same Frostbite 2.0 that Battlefield 3 is built on. That's what a new job posting from Electronic Arts suggests anyway, which was discovered by Twitter user superannuation, a person known throughout the games industry for his talent of digging up job ads that give away a surprising amount of information. Dark Souls 2 announced, destined for the PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3

Long been the substance of rumors, many a' gamer's hopeful speculation has now been confirmed: Dark Souls 2 is official, and it's heading towards a console near you. The announcement was made at VGA 2012, and a trailer appeared a short while later on YouTube, which has since been removed. This store is set to sell TV and movie content as well as PlayStation games galore, but at the moment isn’t quite perfectly synced up for all media that’s offered across the platforms it serves. PlayStation 3 now #1 device for Netflix streaming

Sony announced today that the PlayStation 3 is now the most popular platform to watch Netflix on. The streaming service is currently available on every major gaming console and most mobile devices, as well as the Netflix website. Out of all those platforms, Sony Computer Entertainment America's Phil Rosenberg says that "more people stream Netflix content to their televisions via PS3 than any other device worldwide." BioShock 2 now free to play all week long for PlayStation Plus subscribers

Skyrim Dragonborn DLC confirmed for PS3 and PC [UPDATE]

Earlier today, we told you about a ridiculous amount of leaked Dragonborn details, but now we're getting some news that is perhaps even bigger. Bethesda has confirmed Dragonborn for PC and PS3, saying that it'll be available on those platforms early next year. We don't have a specific release date to work with, but it stands to reason that Dragonborn will be available on PC and PS3 sometime in January, around a month after it launches on Xbox 360. Sony files patent for hybrid DualShock/Move controller

The patent is for a hybrid DualShock/Move gaming controller, meaning that you could use it as a normal controller just like any of Sony's other DualShock devices, or you could split it apart to make two Move controllers. Gran Turismo 5 gets Corvette C7 Test Prototype download

As of this morning, PlayStation 3 owners can download a camouflaged Corvette C7 Test Prototype in Gran Turismo 5. This comes from a collaboration between Chevy and the game's developers, Polyphony Digital, to create an authentic driving experience. The actual vehicle is slated to be unveiled in January.
