Crysis 3 multiplayer beta kicks off next week

Crysis 3 won't be arriving in North America until February 19, but you can check out the game's multiplayer mode a few weeks early thanks to a freshly-announced open beta. Today Crytek revealed this open beta, saying that it will go live on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC on January 29. That happens to be next Tuesday, so Crysis fanatics don't have much longer to wait until they can get some hands-on time with the game's multiplayer. Read The Full Story

US PlayStation Store now offering PayPal option

Given the number of undesirable people who won't hesitate for a second when it comes to making off with your financial information, there are many gamers who are understandably not willing to pay with a credit or debit card when buying games digitally. Previously, those who didn't want to use a credit card on the PlayStation Store were left with one option: buying a PlayStation Network card and redeeming the code online. Earlier today, we saw what's rumored to be the Samsung Galaxy S IV pop up in AnTuTu's database, with the listing suggesting that it will come equipped with an Exynos 5 Octa CPU. The iPad Mini has been projected to both drive and cannibalize Apple's sales in Q1 2013, and Kim Dotcom's new site Mega launched today for advance users. Apple CEO Tim Cook, Intel CEO Paul Otellini, and Google Chairman Eric Schmidt have all been ordered by Judge Lucy Koh to submit to questioning after allegations that the three companies entered into a non-poaching pact together, and we learned today that Windows 8 upgrades will jump up to $119 come February. All Skyrim DLC coming to PlayStation 3 next month

Downloadable content for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is finally coming to the PlayStation 3. The game's developer, Bethesda, announced today that all three expansion DLC packs for the popular RPG will be arriving next month, beginning with Dragonborn, while Hearthfire and Dawnguard will follow shortly after. According to new rumors, Verizon may be shipping the Samsung ATIV Odyssey on January 24, while a new Apple job listing suggests some major Siri improvements coming in the future. Instagram said today that it has 90 million monthly active users who are uploading 40 million photos per day, and even though Intel's earnings for Q4 2012 were down, the company still managed to pull in $13.3 billion in revenue. We're getting some good news for our pals in Canada this evening, as Best Buy seems to think that Sony's white PS3 super slim will be launching in the country later this month. A new listing for the colored console has popped up on Best Buy's website, giving us details about its release date and price to boot. Since Best Buy probably wouldn't begin advertising a new console without advance notice from Sony, we feel okay saying that this is probably legitimate, but keep in mind that there hasn't been any official confirmation from Sony at this hour.
