Assassin’s Creed Chronicles is not a AAA release

Assassin’s Creed Chronicles is not a AAA release

Don't panic yet - Assassin's Creed Chronicles is not a replacement for the top-tier release of the series that's been happening for several years on end. Instead, Assassin's Creed Chronicles, all three parts of it, is an extension of the craft. Much like the game's separate release schedule for PlayStation 3 with Assassin's Creed Rogue, this game will be released separate from the main series. This game trilogy is a 2.5D game - that's two-and-a-half dimensional - as opposed to the 3D we see in the AAA releases for the series.

PlayStation Vue expands with AMC Networks addition

PlayStation Vue expands with AMC Networks addition

Sony's new PlayStation Vue service serves to compete with Dish Network's Sling TV and somewhat with the upcoming HBO NOW service, though Vue costs more than both and is in some ways superior (depending on your needs). On Friday, Sony announced that the service has expanded to include a few more channels, all of them being part of AMC Networks' lineup. This includes the AMC channel itself, as well as IFC, Sundance, and WEtv. Not all of them are available in every subscription package, however, a limitation that will be familiar to any cable subscriber.

PlayStation’s Spotify team up: 3rd party app dominance

PlayStation’s Spotify team up: 3rd party app dominance

In the gaming universe, things are changing. While we'll likely never reach a point where it'll be the manufacturers of hardware or the developers of software that take full control of the console ecosystem, today you can mark one up for the latter. Instead of working with their own Music Unlimited system, Sony has decided to team up with Spotify - to great effect. Today Sony not only ends their Music Unlimited system completely across all PlayStation hardware, it begins 30 days of free use of Spotify. Sony is so confident in this team-up, they're tossing out the old and giving the new away for free.

PlayStation Vue: here’s what you need to know

Sony's newest TV-based venture is PlayStation Vue, a system that works specifically on their PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 gaming devices. Now that we're well and away from the launch of the PS4, a device that Sony assured the public was a "gamer-centric" system back in 2013, it's time to get serious about bringing on television services. For the time being, PlayStation Vue - a TV channel service - will be available to Chicago, New York City, and Philadelphia only, though more cities are on the way in the near future.

Sony’s Playstation Vue to be the latest TV service for cord-cutters

SCE is launching a new online TV service called Playstation Vue which will be available through the Playsation Network to Playstation 3 and Playstation 4 console users. Sony wants to change the way users experience the Playstation Network. They've expanded their service from offering games to including a Spotify service for music.
