Diablo 3 gameplay footage for the PS3 unveiled

Gameplay footage for the PlayStation 3 version of Diablo 3 has been released. The video shows the PC-game with a very different UI. Gameplay is smooth (for the most part), the new control system seems very user-friendly, and the new dynamic camera system seems very appealing (the fight against Belial looked very entertaining). All in all, the PlayStation 3 port seems very well done and should appeal to Diablo 3 fans.

Let me say this loud and clear: any game console that tries to block used games will fail. And I, along with other gamers, will be happy to see it.

Over the last year or so, we’ve been hearing rumors that Microsoft’s next console, currently codenamed Durango, could ban used games. Microsoft, of course, hasn’t said anything on the matter, deciding instead to keep its plans close to the vest until it finally has the chance to unveil the device to the world. But the steady drumbeat of claims that the console won’t support used games is concerning.

Dead Space 3 claims top spot in February game sales

Dead Space 3 has been doing well in the market place. The game launched at the beginning of last month, and was the top selling game throughout February. The game sold around 605,000 copies in February, knocking Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 down to second place. Other games Dead Space 3 beat include: Crysis 3, NBA 2K13, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, Aliens: Colonial Marines 2013, Just Dance 4, Far Cry 3, Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, and Madden NFL 13.

Mass Effect Citadel DLC to be split into two downloads for Xbox 360

While PC and PlayStation 3 gamers will be receiving their Citadel DLC in a single file download, for some strange reason, Xbox 360 gamers will have their Citadel DLC split into two separate download packs. Bioware says that the download size of the DLC is too big compared to the previous DLC packs, resulting in the decision to split the file into two downloads. You will only have to pay for the DLC once though.

Ubisoft made a teaser for its "world premiere trailer" for the next game in the Assassin's Creed series, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. The world premiere was supposed to take place on Monday, but unfortunately for Ubisoft, the trailer was leaked prematurely. The trailer was leaked through GameRadar's YouTube channel, and taken down soon afterwards, but to Ubisoft's horror, many more copies of the videos took its place.

NVIDIA gives us a sneak peak at one of their "5 games optimized for the Tegra 4" by demoing it on their portable gaming device, Project SHIELD. The game, titled Burn Zombie Burn, is a title that originated from the PlayStation 3 and is now finding its way onto mobile devices. The game developer, Tick Tock Games, wanted to delve into the mobile gaming industry, and the NVIDIA Tegra 4 allows them to do that without needing to sacrifice quality. In fact, the NVIDIA Tegra 4 helps them add quality to their thrilling, zombie apocalypse game.

Uncharted 3 online mode free-to-play for anyone

The PlayStation Network has just released the online multiplayer aspect of Uncharted 3 for free. Anyone with a PlayStation Network account can download the online part of the game without actually owning the game. Of course, there are a few limitations that come with this free-to-play release, and there will be micro-transaction features added to the game at later dates. There will be premium packages that players can buy if they want more in-depth multiplayer action.
