The wire has been pretty barren when it comes to word of ASUS' upcoming 10.2-inch convertible touchscreen netbook, the Eee PC T101H.  Last we heard, ASUS had pushed its release back until September "at the earliest" and were watching sales performance of the T91 before finally green-lighting the project; now, according to NetbookNews' sources, the T101H will make its official debut at CES 2010, complete with Intel's next-gen Atom N450 1.66GHz processor.

Intel's Pine Trail Atom refresh wasn't predicted to see any products actually arrive on shelves until Q1 2010, but that wasn't counting on the motivation of Shanzai producers in China.  The first all-in-one nettop using the 1.66GHz dual-core Intel Atom D510 processor has emerged, the KND K1850, with an 18.6-inch display, 2GB of RAM, 250GB hard-drive and a DVD drive.

Intel Pine Trail due Q4; products unlikely until early 2010

After ongoing rumors and speculation that Intel would miss their Q4 launch for Pine Trail, their next-gen Atom processor line-up, the company has again confirmed that the low-power netbook processors are on course to hit manufacturers in Q4 2009.  However the company will not be drawn on how long those chips will then take to show up in commercially-available devices: estimates suggest that Pine Trail based netbooks won't actually be on shelves until Q1 2010 at the earliest.

The Intel Atom N450 release date controversy continues, and this time there's a second processor that's apparently being brought along for the ride.  Despite Intel's protestations to the contrary, the 1.66GHz N450 - the replacement for the N270 chip currently found in most netbooks - is still on track for a launch in Q1 2010, where it will apparently be accompanied with a 1.83GHz Atom N470.

Acer & ASUS delay Android netbooks; freeze launches until Pine Trail in Q1 2010

Acer and ASUS are tipped to have frozen new netbook launches in the second half of 2009, in response to Intel's decision to postpone the launch of the Pine Trail-M platform - of which the Atom N450 processor is a part - until Q1 2010.  As part of that, Acer's dual-booting Android/Windows XP netbook has been postponed with no known launch date; the netbook, first shown in prototype form at Computex in June, was most recently expected to arrive in August.
