Do you as a parent feel the need to put novelty things on your child’s skin before they even know what they are? Now you can buy Tattoos for Babies, and no I’m not kidding. The FDA actually approved this too.

The Sub-Spacial Communication Pod sounds like something out of a bad sci-fi movie. In reality, it looks more like something out of my favorite sci-fi movie.

A Trekkie’s Dream Come True

By Chris on Wednesday, Feb 14th 2007 No Comments

Even though I’m a Star Wars geek, sometimes there’s a Star Trek product that I just can’t help but write about. VOS Systems got the brilliant idea that everyone has lights, so why not make a Star Trek themed control for them.

Tired of your classic alphabet magnets? Qwerty magnets has taken old keyboard keys and turned them into cute little magnets. This way you can flaunt to the entire world your true dorky colors. They have created a cute little valentines series with phrases like “LOVE U” and “MISS U”. Personally I would love it if they came out with the full alphabet; then again I’m bad enough about having too much stuff on my fridge.

Looking for a new way to cause trouble and terrorize the general public? Be honest, we know you are. There is something new to add to your stash, the new Soundbomb. It records any sound you can possibly think of; from casual greetings, poems, and of course all those rude bodily functions. It has a motion sensor on it so it only goes off when someone goes past. I swear right now I look like Mr. Burns off of the Simpsons, you know what he looks like when he is plotting.

So you’re out there in the real world (scary isn’t it) trying to find that special someone, but you can’t ever seem to find the courage to chat up a total stranger. Now, imagine that you had a monkey that could help you break the ice. No, not a real monkey, but more of a robot monkey. Echo Robotics is hoping that this is exactly what you’ve been waiting for.

Essentially what the Echo Robot does is store personal information about you that can be exchanged with other Echo Robots to determine if you’re a good match for each other. The monkey (or any number of different animals) then informs you through a series of movements that the other person may in fact be someone you’d want to get to know.

Choke A Duck Toy

By Rue Liu on Friday, Oct 20th 2006 No Comments

Work gets frustrating sometimes and just makes you want to choke a duck—especially, a duck that does the chicken dance. So, knowing just what we needed, a British company has produced an irresistible “Choke a Duck” toy. The duck does indeed, do the chicken dance, and does so over and over until you choke it with a firm grip of the neck. Then it makes gagging noises until you let go. Upon release, it resumes its dance so you can choke him again and again. Requires four AA batteries for hours of fun duck choking. You can get one for $27.99 from Gadgets.co.uk. Oh, and make sure to check out the video demo there.
