Best summer toy ever adds hand guard to your stick sword

Best summer toy ever adds hand guard to your stick sword

We spent a lot of time playing games during the summers when I was a kid because its 173-degrees in Texas for nearly four months out of the year. We would occasionally venture out into the woods to tear stuff up and run amuck though. The best thing ever was happening on those sticks that survey crews hammer into the ground. We had no idea what they were at the time, but finding one was like finding Excalibur. The ribbons tied to them even made a great handle wrap.

Sports trading cards go high tech with video

Sports trading cards go high tech with video

I thought they were pretty cool back in the day. My kids will get to collect cards that are much cooler and more interactive than those old holographic cards. The latest new invention for the trading card real is a little card with a small LCD embedded for video.

Tandar – Interactive Monkey Pet with a USB tail

Yes, it's furry, it talks, and it is a little bit scary - and it has a USB port on its tail. And it can also be a nightlight. It is the new Tandars Interactive Pet. Beware if you go to the website, you will need to get past a slowly blinking monkey and a talking tree. The Tandar Monkey uses the USB port to recharge, which takes about 15 minutes for quick playtime and 2 hours for a full charge (hint: do this while the kids are sleeping, or you will be in for a major fit).

Ron Paul would be proud, as the USA beat Japan to the punch by a month, while Germany and Abu Dhabi beat Japan by almost a year! As reporter Yoree Koh says, "It's enough to make you cry into your ramen."
