Cats plus lasers probably sounds like some people’s idea of the best thing to do with the LOLCat meme, but for FroliCat it’s a business model.  Their BOLT promises to keep your household feline (or dog) active, by giving it a tireless laser dot to chase, and Gear Diary have been testing it out.

After we wrote about the Tapescape robot yesterday, maker Michael Columbo and his co-creator Ilan Schifter flagged up an Instructable with directions to make your own tape-following machine.  If you’ve ever wanted a bizarre looking ‘bot that plays glitchy movement, and a way to get rid of an old boombox, this is the project for you.

usb stress ballWe all know that the typical workday can get a bit overbearing and stressful at times. That is why every employer should give their employees the gift of virtual stress relief. Now if previous stress relief methods have failed you this one may surprise you.

Similar to punching a pillow when your angry, the traditional stress ball allows you to squeeze, slam and otherwise abuse it in whatever way you choose in order to somehow get rid of the stress your feeling. This oddly shaped stress toy allows you to virtually take your stress out on your computer screen. Go ahead and put a picture of your boss on the screen and give him a good squeeze.

Here’s a pretty cool device that has all sorts of mischievous potential.  The WowWee Spyball is a remote controlled webcam hidden inside a futuristic-looking plastic ball.  Note to WowWee: the ball’s appearance might be kind of a giveaway.

When you walk by most peoples’ gardens, you’ll see some kind of cute statue, maybe of a gnome, or a deer. Those are nice and all, but what if you want something a little bit scary for your garden? I don’t know about you, but I love this Garden Zombie.

Dollhouses are one of those things that even with the progression of technology many girls still love them. I still remember when my Dad bought me actual working lights for mine, I was completely mesmerized by technology making its way into my unwired wooden toy. For the record, even though that comment makes me sound old, I swear I’m still in my twenties.

I guess that’s the official U.S. product title, anyways, it’s a standard telephone that has voice changing capabilities built right in. There is no need to go buy a separate box to change your voice, and that way it’s harder for the police to figure out what’s going on when they raid your house.

OTTO Sound Amplifier

By Christina Crouch on Tuesday, Jan 29th 2008 No Comments

I’m fond of white noise, in fact, I’m quite dependent on it because silence bothers me. I feel a whole lot better about that fact now that I’ve seen the OTTO sound amplifier… I’m not the only one out there who feels this way.
