CH4 health tracker monitors your flatulence, judges your diet

CH4 health tracker monitors your flatulence, judges your diet

We've seen many trackers over the years, but this one is likely the oddest yet: it's called the CH4, and it monitors your flatulence to make judgements about your diet. Obviously it is bid as a health tracker, but it eschews the common calories/heart rate/water intake and other parameters commonly monitored by health trackers. As expected, the tracker comes with a related mobile app that keeps track of one's "gases", as the maker says, as well as the daily diet that is associated with it.

Hulkbuster high chair makes dinner time unbeatable

Hulkbuster high chair makes dinner time unbeatable

There are a few different teams out there that spend their time creating fascinating versions of popular fictional items and movie props, and one such team is the folks behind Super-Fan Builds. We previously saw them create a version of the Batman tumbler vehicle as perhaps the most unique stroller ever, and now they're back with another build for a toddler -- this time, though, they've set their sights on Iron Man, specifically on the giant Hulkbuster suit.

Iron Man glove replica shoots real lasers

Iron Man glove replica shoots real lasers

We’ve previously seen an Iron Man prosthetic, and now another rendition of the glove has surfaced, this one of a different sort: it is an Iron Man glove with functional lasers, as well as sound effects that make it sound like the real thing. It was created by Patrick Priebe, who has previously created some other things incorporating lasers, the latter of which have an important place in his latest creation. Both blue and red lasers are included, and they’re shown off on video, which we have after the jump.

kSafe smart safe won’t open until you meet a goal

kSafe smart safe won’t open until you meet a goal

Some people can set a goal and hit it regularly using nothing more than will power. Others need a bit more, at least at first, and those are who the maker's behind kSafe are targeting. kSafe is a "safe" shaped something like a large flour jar or cookie jar, but it features smart technology and a locking mechanism designed specifically for forcing users to meet a goal...even if they change their mind later on. This can include everything from locking yourself away from cigarettes for a certain period of time to taking a certain number of steps before getting access to your TV remote.

ArcLighter replaces your lighter’s flame with a stun gun

ArcLighter replaces your lighter’s flame with a stun gun

A regular lighter is, by all accounts, exceedingly archaic. A more modern twist on that old technology are electric lighters, which have batteries that heat coils to produce an area generally hot enough to light a paper or candle. ArcLighter is the next evolution in lighter technology, however, working somewhat like a miniature stun gun to create an electric arc that ignites whatever is passed through it. There are some obvious benefits to this, including the fact that it can be recharged and that it doesn't go out in windy conditions.

Candy Rocket is a real rocket fueled by candy

Candy Rocket is a real rocket fueled by candy

If the Killer Klowns from Outer Space had a long-range weapon, this would definitely be it. Some industrious and fun-loving rocket scientists (and, apparently, candy experts?) from Japan put their brilliant minds together to bring to life a project designed to inspire the youngest generation upward, as well as maybe do something that has never been done before. What did they do? Created a rocket powered by candy, launching it with a fiery burst to over 800ft. in the sky.

Samsung Dream Doghouse includes hot tub

Samsung Dream Doghouse includes hot tub

Some of us stuff a pillow in a box and make our cat's day; others buy their dog a miniature doggy mansion and go to bed at night knowing their pet could lounge in its own hot tub if it wanted. Such a reality has gotten a little more real with Samsung's new Dream Doghouse, a somewhat small clear-sided doghouse with all the trimmings Fido might want, including art work on the walls. The company only made one of them, so if you're already polishing your credit card, don't get your hopes too high.

Robotic jellyfish: a modern twist for your fish tank

Robotic jellyfish: a modern twist for your fish tank

Fish tanks are pleasant to have around, but they're a decent amount of work, and no matter how much effort you put into it, those little fish are going to go belly up at some point. Fortunately, we live in an age where there's an alternative -- in this case, a robotic alternative. It's a robot jellyfish from Hexbug, and it looks surprisingly like a real jellyfish (only, you know, with mechanical parts and unnatural colors). This 'pet' runs on batteries and swims just like the real thing.

Whiteboard sticker turns your laptop lid into a scratchpad

Whiteboard sticker turns your laptop lid into a scratchpad

If your laptop has a touchscreen and you feel the impromptu need to scribble out notes, all you need is a stylus. If it doesn't have a touchscreen, you can turn to your tablet, and if you don't have a tablet, you can turn to your smartphone (and, of course, there are things like Wacom slates). None of those sound appealing? You can go the old-school route, but who wants to carry about paper pads and pens? Enter the whiteboard laptop sticker.

TactPuck concept lets users send ‘sensory messages’

TactPuck concept lets users send ‘sensory messages’

You can pull out your phone right now and send someone a message regardless of where they're at; the message can say whatever you want, but you'll be limited to three means of communication: text, audio recordings, and emoticons. Tactonics envisions a future where sensory messages are a fourth option, allowing someone to send another person a sensation that expresses an emotion rather than text. It is more personal and intimate, and it would be delivered via the company's concept TactPuck.
